Does anyone make high flow sports cats for the Tam/Speed 6? Just had a look at the ACT site and could only find standard cats and the de-cat pipes that I already have fitted.

They used to make "high flow cats" as I have a set on my Sag. Bought from TVR Power about 5 year ago. Not sure if this help!

I have 'no cats'. But as I can't get on track as the car is too noisy, there is little point in releasing the extra bhp.

If it's only for noise reasons, i would install the original backbox instead of sports cats. Much more difference as with/without cat.

RG seem to offer sports cats - £900 for the pair, though...

Yeah I've just been advised to do that. My bad, as I thought that the cat/de-cat situation was more relevant to noise. I've still got the back box so I will try. Need to lose at least 8dB though.

I know frown - The problem is we need two of the damn things.

I know that I paid close to £400 for a Janspeed sorts cat for my wife's MG...

Mine is much quieter with original-backbox/de-cat vs JP-Backbox/de-cat. Even the pops and bangs (unfortunately) almost completely get filtered out. Should be easy 8dB

That's promising. Easier to swap between back-boxes than de-cat pipes to sports cats too!

Got a spare set of sport cats, were probably 5k miles in car.
Looking for 400 GBP, TVR Power invoice here.

Björn.

Edit. They are big bore, so would fit Sagaris, Tuscan S or some Red Rose derivates with the larger bore exhaust.

I think that mine is the standard Tamora/Tuscan set up - albeit with equal length manifolds.

I have a large bore St.Stl exhaust and decats for the Tamora made to be deep sounding and not intrusive. With the lager sports cats would be a fine setup. £600 without the decats if interested. On the 4.5 SS it gave 14 BHP and 2LB/ft Torque increase. Shows how much the standard cats and exhaust strangled the TAM
