Its that time again when i think must put a new AA battery in the excuse for a headlamp.

so....
dont want to fry the wiring.
Dont want to spend over £100
Dont want long winded conversion.

So best bulb mainly for low beam but even better if low & high beam improved.
i have checked for pksts but couldnt find anything that recent .
regards
Mark

Philips x-treme power bulbs seems to consistently beat other brands by a margin in auto express tests (which seem to be fairly credible). They used to be "+90%" and were significantly brighter than standard bulbs when I had some on a previous car but are now "+100%". The car I last had came with xenons, so not used since, but based on my experience I would get them again without question. They can be had for under £20 a set usually from eBay/Amazon etc.

The only reason I've not ordered some myself is they seem to be launching a "+130%" version, but I couldn't find it in H7 yet... Quite keen to get those if I can. Every little helps...

Oh, and they're standard 55w bulbs, so shouldn't fry wiring etc.

there is a thread on the Chim forum at the mo by Chimpongas looking at LED lamps (Bulbs to the non electricians!) He is specifically looking/testing at H4s but H7s are also available. Not cheap but not £100 either. I will be purchasing some.

Thanks for this. Just bought the +130 version off Amazon £38.
So hope that does the trick

Were they H7? Really interested to know how you get on.

Am I right in thinking that for dipped and main beans I'd need 4x H7 bulbs for a T350?

I only want to do the low(main) beam & will see how i go first.
For me its not just about absolute brightness but about the difference going from high to main & your eyes adjusting to it.
