would be a boring world if we liked the same thing as I said it suits me and that is that
I think you need to hear mine when its screaming
I have noticed that the 4.3 revs just as freely as the old 3.6. I have no doubt that mine too will be screaming past 7000rpm very quickly after another few k miles - and I am stone cold convinced the engine won't break whilst doing so.I think you need to hear mine when its screaming

pleased to see that the SP6 4.3 can rev as high as golf GTI maybe there is new movement commin.... how to make a v6 out of a v8
Why are you even on this thread?I think most now get that you don't like Powers, you have made that quite clear - do you think you can now give it a rest?

maybe you got a special edition. that was the reason i started to modify the 4.3. 4.3 is way more lazy than a regular 3.6 in regards of response. as for screamin past 7k rpm... maybe rev limiter is not set @chris
maybe try not to feel offended by every posting and dont take every written word seriously. seems to be a box of worms here. there is not just black and white on rhe planet

For what my little bit of experience is worth, the 4.3 and 4.5 engines are screamers. Smoother than the factory offerings, revvy, punchy, hold on to the power well at the very top end. What's not to like? I've run plenty of them up to high revs mapping them on the dyno and not one has gone bang ..
Seems to me there's more to this guy's engine-bashing posts than meets the eye.
We could go on about this for ever
I did not like the 3.6 as it needs to be pushed and revving to get it going, that's my personal opinion, others like it like that that's their personal opinion and I am not knocking them in anyway shaped or form
I found that you was always up and down the gears in the 3.6 if you like it like that fine, I am a lazy sod so the 4.5 has the torque to allow me to be lazy and plod along as it suits my lazy style of driving
I have taken other T350 and Sag owners out for a drive and showed them what I like about the 4.5 and trust me when you hit the loud pedal it hits 7000 revs in no time and screams all the way up there
The engine builders have all gone down different routes and fair play to them, at least they are keeping our pride and joys on the road
I have not knocked any of the other engine builders, but Dom's suited my budget and what I wanted
as they say you pays your money and takes your choice
now all shake hands and stop all this nonsense
we all have the same thing in common TVR,s
right I am off for a drive now which one shall I take the Cerb, T350 or the Griff

I just do not understand why you feel compelled to write in this thread. Perhaps you need to start your own thread about whatever axe you're grinding, instead of contaminating this one.Just a thought..

thx for your advice and well noted. if i would be into axe grinding would need to read all those RND threads first to get some practice
wondering here more about facts and fiction.... like increasing stroke on any engine = producing high rev screamers...... comparing an engine barely run in and not taken above 3.5K rpm
to another engine of course i also have a friend that has a friend that has heared that....
@Tove
youre welcome... your teacher did good

I think if Power refused any warranty work people would shout about it on here, nobody has yet so all seems fine
They would, would they? I have receipts to say otherwise.Whilst it is clear that Gacksen has an issue with Powers, I don't think we need to resort to silly comments about national stereotypes. If they were American maybe things would be different, but ...........
I think any road car engine that has a redline north of 7500 rpm can be considered high reving.
So far then there are 2 people not happy with Powers. Given the amount of work they have undertaken, I think that's a fair / reasonable ratio of dissatisfied customers.
