Sorry guys,

but how far away from a standard car is my Sagaris ? There are no modifications to the bodywork or the interior. All the original parts are here, so in half a day you could bring back the car to 'standard specification'. The Original Spider Wheels, the original exhaust, even the original dampers are all here. But who wants 9 year old Bilsteins, if he can have nearly new Nitrons ? Is there anyone who decides for the old plastic airbox over the carbon one from ACT ? Do you really want to hassle around with the bad original Lambda setup when you can have a reliable one ?
And I think a nearly new 4.3 is always better then an old 4.0 original engine. And you don't see any difference from the outside.
And sorry for the clean and tidy engine compartement and underbody, which isn't original. Original seems to be dirty and rotten.
So I think the discussion about original spec or not doesn't fit for my car.
This is the cars look only with the original wheels:
Have to agree with the above it's not like it's had a engine transplant or halfords add-ons and the mods are in keeping with what a Sagaris should be IMHO,

Is the engine warranty transferable?

Opinion aside, the car in Germany looks to be a very good example at sensible money (care of the exchange rates at the moment). One thing to consider is that buying from abroad, you may find that don't have quite the same consumer rights.
be asured if there are any you will find them on the sag side of the river rofl

Hi Ken,

nice to hear from you. I can remember your car from the Rutland Rumble. But what happened to you or your car on this day, because I can remember that you had to quit the Rumble ?
I was gutted...lost the charge on my battery. Stopped to make a call and would not start. Turned out to be a battery connection had come lose....so simple. By the time I had finished my call all cars had passed me so could not wave someone down. No jack in the car to get at the battery and no leads in the car so called the AA. He did not have a jack that was low enough so no use. After nearly 3 hours of flaffing I was on a wagon and on my way home. Fixed it in 20mins. Why on earth put the battery within the wheel arch!!!

Good luck with the sale.....nice to see a well sorted and loved car. I saw a very low milage sag for sale and it was poor...spent too much time sitting in a damp garage. Get them used...these cars need to be seen on the road or on the track.

Hi Ken,

that doesn't sound good. I saw you on the left side of the road, but as there were no signs from you, I thought all things are OK. Yeah, the position of the battery can really be awkward, but as it helps the weight distribution, I think we have to live with that.

Just inconvenient as it was the first outing of last year. As for this year the Sag has just been in for a full check over and is ready for the change in weather. Going to order some ACT cans next week. Think they fill out the rear better than standard and with the LS7 should have a lovely rumble. Like you I am keeping original parts...including the Speed Six. Polishing weekend starts today smile

From what I've heard Str8Six don't offer a transferable warranty but I guess Ollie Or Jason would be best to confirm.
I think even if it isn't transferrable theres enough people on here that realise you don't 'really' need one as it'll be good for the 5 years offered if you see what I mean smile

As for the mileage and standard debate. It's done just shy of 50k, that's on a 10 year old car so only 5k a year - nothing, especially given the new engine and gearbox. As for non-standard, most of us here run alternate shocks, wheels, rebuild, other little goodies - Nothing on that car would scare me.
April 5th can't come soon enough... frown

My point was simply, reflective of the post regarding the other sag, highlighting original low mileage sports cars tend to fetch more money, that's pretty universal no matter how crappy the original car was to begin with. This has had some upgrades/mods, but Im not saying they are a bad thing. Christ, most of our cars have had mods/upgrades, including mine. This is probably one of the best bang for buck sags you can buy. You can see it's well looked after and has wanted for nothing, no argument there. I would jump on this like a shot. I've no issues in TVR's that are regularly used as long as they have been looked after which this obviously has. They are meant to be driven, case in point I'm out at Sunday Service tomorrow and an event next week, it's not a garage queen but it is looked after smile

That's all. Try to think before you post, read the post and try not to misinterpret comments.

The place name sounds like a name of a German electronica group John Peel would have played in the '80's!

Yes, roads here are beautiful, nearly no potholes, a lot of small roads, no stationary speed cameras and mostly no mobile units, only marginal traffic......a good place to have a car like the Sagaris :-)
