Shep - can you post the width of your screen, please.

Thanks.
Basically you need it to fit between the roof struts so it folds flat. Mine is 32.5" x 15" tall

Hi Bob.

I had it all arranged at John the trimmer in Blackpool. Unfortunately my Dad then had a heart attack which obviously took precedence. He's on the mend now though so I'm going to rebook in the spring.

Will post pics when I get it done. Could be the longest new roof thread ever.

Oh - on the other hand I can highly recommend Gorilla flexible tape. It is still doing a sterling job of holding the two halves of screen together. 😀

Glad your Dads on the mend thumbup

I've got one quote, but it's shocked me a bit, so need to get a check price elsewhere, am waiting for DtT to get back to me, as his 2014 quote needs updating.

Finally changed my rear screen this summer.
Got a local trimmer who had some TVR experience to replace it, took 4 hours and was very reasonable.

BEFORE.

AFTER

Even managed to save my rear screen sticker.

It does make me question whether I do actually need a new roof when I see photos like this, trouble is with a full re-spray, even an ok hood looks shabby!

Renovo hood dye will bring it up good as new if it's just the fabric that is looking shabby.

Well it's not ripped, so that will probably be the answer, I'm sure I can find a better use for £700+

is there something like a "gasket" ?

thanks for advice.

Don't know about a seal but the bolts are under the fabric flap at the base of the targa where it meets the body
