Picked the car up from Oxted Trimming earlier this week. Very pleased with the results and it was cheaper than their original quote! In fact the final bill was £300 cheaper than a couple of other quotes I had. Thanks to shep1001 for giving me the dimensions of his rear screen, a useful starting point.

That looks very neat! Wish I had mine done that way when I had my hood re done last year.

I have exactly the same style fitted to my Tamora, much better than standard as it drops flush with the body and doesn't crease the screen - pics of mine just uploaded in classifieds...

Can you post a detail photo of the b-post, please ? How did they managed the b-post trim and the window seal ?

If you look at my advert on Autotrader or on PH you may be able to see. I am away this weekend but but will upload pictures next week if you like?

Looks really good. smile

I still need to get mine done and will definitely go for the narrower screen. It does make it a more complicated job though so reduces who can do it.

I take it Oxted trimmers are in Oxted?

Looks good. Was that £300 cheaper than what I paid or have prices gone up in the past couple of years?. Can't tell if its a shadow or not from the picture but it looks like the fabric flap that covers the bolts on the inside of the Targa at the bottom isn't folded flat all the way round as you can see a kink in the fabric to the bottom left of the screen.. From memory I put some velcro strips there & glued one side to the fabric flap and the other to the targa frame) to hold it in place permanently.

They certainly are! Caterham specialists but have done plenty of TVR's.

£510 inc VAT which I was pretty happy with. You are correct about the flap at the bottom of the targa where it meets the car, sticks out slightly on either side. It's now gone for a service and a touch up at a body shop so won't be able to investigate for a couple of weeks. Will look into the velco strips idea tho, cheers.

Is that the price for just the rear section/screen, or covering the hard top too? I need to get mine done at some point.

That was the price for a new rear section and the top re-covered. The quotes I got varied wildly so phone around.

Apart from an initial issue with the cooling fans it's been spot on! Even after being left alone for 2-3 weeks in deepest darkest winter she fires up straight away and gets up to temp in no time. Very pleased.

Are you missing TVR ownership yet?

Cheers. Not too bad a cost then.

Looks a good job. However, is it me, or is the width of the rear screen narrower than standard?

Whoops! Wasn't on the OP's first post and I obviously didn't read the explanation on the later post. Thanks for the clarification.

dont mind it on the chims but cant say Im a fan of it on the tam, but then its not mine so who cares! never thought the Tam hood was that bad after coming from the Chim which totally blocks the rear view mirror
