Hi Chaps

Well I've crossed over to the dark side and purchased this.... Peer pressure is a bugger when most of your mates are into cars.

The T350T will be hibernating in a secure facility until I've got a better handle on things and decided whether to keep her or not, as this was a bit of an impulse buy :/ I still don't haven't really come to terms with it tbh and those that know me know the time ive spent on my T350 and how I feel about Tango. Initial thoughts are its the same as the T350, but beefier, quicker, more torque and even though my T350 had the Centre of Gravity treatment, the Sag feels more stable at speeds. So not the same although I'm missing the targa panels.

I've had a few niggles since I bought it which is two weeks now, including the usual breaking down on the way home as the alternator wasn't working as the previous owner hardly drove it and kept it on trickle charge. It made 2 hours and then conked out 2 miles from home. We rigged a battery up and connected it to the Anderson through the passenger window, with my mate holding it, and limped home. So I replaced the battery, alternator and decided to fit a 125amp fuse. It also needed a new engine mount, exhaust hangers and although it was supposed to have working heaters and aircon the heater amplifier didnt work and is off for a refurb.

Other than that it needs some lubrication and some driving as Matt Smith put it smile

It's off for some paint loving in a few weeks as it needs a correction (those that know me, know I'm a bit of a polisher tongue out) New light lenses being fitted, some touch ups here and there for the usual chips or grounding, wheel arches rubberised and wheels will be black. I'm also fitting a tinted spoiler. The spoiler needed replacing anyway as for some reason it was lop sided when fitted resting on the paintwork one side and not the other :/

I've tweaked the interior which was in good condition, with my carbon pedal plate and a Momo Trek R.

She should be back with a vengeance shortly and then ready for a road trip to Germany in June with mates and looking forward to keeping up with the 4.5 Cerb's in our group! The number plates will revert to the standard ones when required tongue out

The Sag looks great mate. Glad you finally cracked to the peer pressure 😉 although it didn't take much to convert you lol.
love the black 'show' plates on the black car.... It does look like an evil beast of a Sag.
Once you have had your hands on it for a few months it will look brand new (knowing you as I do!)
I loved my T350T as I know you do and I too put ALLOT of time and money in to that car... but for me personally... I always wanted a Sag... and have never looked back (other than spending a load more time and money again!!!!). It's just that little bit better in a number of areas that cumulatively does it for me. (All imo of course...).

Was good to meet you up at the Brit24. I must say the T350 did look very special. I was talking with Paul over at Melton and he tells me he took the Sag out for a spin ....at least I think it was your Sag. My car is in with him over the weekend for a couple of jobs. Good guy, he sorted my aircon and now it's blowing like a fridge smile

Good luck with the new toy.

Lovely car Steve - love your Arancio T350 too. Difficult choice.
My hope for you is that it makes you happy, what more can we ask for?
Keep both if you can. I guess it has been to Mat for an inspection?

PS, just bought a black Saab as a daily driver.
Looks fine.....from a distance. Close up the paint feels like sandpaper.
Might wander over your way for a few polishing tips from an acknowledged expert.
For now just puzzling how to keep it respectable when doing 500 miles a week.

I have seen it in the flesh and it is very nice indeed, right colour as well wink

Don,t know what you about more torque though than a T350 mine has plenty

I could be enticed to the dark side too as they are growing on me would have to be black same as yours as it did look very nice or orange

You will have to give us a full report

Looks great Steve, a general theme seems to be that sags feel more planted than other TVR's. Vs a T350 what is it that achieves this extra stability, just the wider track and or better wheel/tyre options? My T350T has nitrons and handles well but the rear can feel a little loose on non perfect roads. Thinking about getting a Geo just to make sure what I have is optimized to it's best. I have also come from a fairly track prepared vx220 with 2 way ohlins and superlight speedlines with R888's on so that was pretty sorted! Not planning on tracking the TVR but want to get a good balance for fast road driving.....

The owner saw a post I did on PH. Nice guy, loved his car, ideal scenario really smile Do you get any issues with those plates?

Well done fella. I am very happy for you Steve. Car looks very nice!!!

Only problem you have with the plate is that you need to loose the No: 7.

Don't sell Tango, she is a real beauty, only problem is can you honestly justify keeping both cars, especially when their DNA is so similar ?

What about a French Track Day Toy, that can destroy NOT ALL, but many TVR'S on most circuits in the UK? biggrin

Steve in the 9 years I have had the plates on the Tuscan I have never been pulled, even had them sitting behind me for miles when we went to Goodwood last year.
I am so in love with your new toy....
