Still bloody pondering.
Anyone running P zero nero Gt Xl ?
I ran P Zeros for a bit (not sure precisely what variety).

They were terrible. Far too hard - clearly designed for a much heavier car.
Interestingly I have them on a recently acquired Mercedes CLS, they are noisy and I think the compound is too hard on this car too. Maybe they need some heat in them...

Is 235 the standard size for the spiders?

I am toying with reducing the 265 on the SP12s down to 255 as there can be a tiny bit of a rub when you go over a dip in a road.

Are others running wider tyres?

The T350 and Tamora when spec'd with 18-inch Spiders came fitted with 225/35 fronts and 235/40 rears. I've queried this before as the Tamora on 16's comes with 225/50 all round and the Sagaris comes with 255/35 all round.

Lots of replies came that TVR had done a lot of design, research and testing but the most plausible (imo) reply was that TVR wanted to fit 235/40 all round but they didn't fit the front. The wider track of the Sag allowed for the larger tyres to be fitted.

I've not had any issues since fitting 225/40s all round. The back end is fine. There's a very small rub on the front when on full lock left and going off camber. Primarily due to the poorly fitted light covers in the inner wing.

I have 35/255 profile T1R on the back (and 40/225 on fronts) and they seem to work well enough. With hindsight, I should have gone for 40 profile on the rear, as I had my suspension raised slightly, rather than slammed to the floor to stop the front spoiler grounding out so much.

I've just ordered some replacement toyor1r for the rear of my tam. I put a part worn set on the tam a while back that came with the sp12 wheels i purchased, and they've been fantastic for traction both wet and dry

i use 265 rears, (needed the inner arch tweaking) at the moment they're £150 vs normal £225 or so. but the other sizes all seem pretty competitive
