Considering a Sagaris -any info on these cars please?
Discussion
prices are made by the demand of the buyers. there are people that want this car and they
dont care about the amount and others do. some have knowledge of those cars others don´t and
buy based on dealer reputation as beeing afraid to buy private so spent more.
e.g. 40K T350 4.3 at str8six that has been sold. on the other hand in the ads T350 4.3 for 28K at tvr mads
for sale a long long time. going down as low as 25K for a 4.1 from private. you would get 2x T350
for the price of one sagaris for technically an almost identical car except of the body.
don´t know if i would swallow the pill in spending twice the amount but can understand that people do.

I agree with a lot of this. Prices are being skewed at the top end by collectors who are only interested in the very best examples and are happy to pay a premium for them. The 4.3 at STR8Six is a prime example, 40k is eye watering for a T350 but they had no problem shifting it at that price because of its uniqueness. dont care about the amount and others do. some have knowledge of those cars others don´t and
buy based on dealer reputation as beeing afraid to buy private so spent more.

A £65k low mileage perfect factory standard Sag stands a much better chance of selling than a 50k less than perfect one simply because that's what the current buyers want
it will be interesting to see what happens if the new TVR will be available and the impact on the used car market.
the sagaris itself is quite unique in its kind but i dont expect the prices to climb higher as long as there is this
big gap between sag and T350 pricing. what will go up is the tuscan tamora t350 cerbera and maybe a little the chimaera and griffith. cars in soso condition will either be restored or will vanish from the market. on collectors perspective factory standard with matching numbers engine is a must. buying on drivers perspective would be on the lookout for a fully sorted modded car but that is just my 50 cent e.g. the 4.5 T350 at 33K. if i would need to spent around 30K the next days for something that will gain value for 100 percent would buy a 996 turbo with manual gearbox in a decent condition.

are the "special" color combinations of exterior and interior. if the buyer would have chosen
a more conservative path in regards of colors would have made things easy in the long run.

Very true. I suspect the reason my Sag was so long on the market was simply because the interior was a little out the ordinary. In fact I myself ignored the car for a while because of this, and the fact it was the opposite side of the country to me meant I didn't think it warranted a look.are the "special" color combinations of exterior and interior. if the buyer would have chosen

However I did a similar thing back in 2004 when looking for a Chimaera. Couldn't find a decent one for love nor money and was ignoring one car in what seemed to be a hideous colour (Californian Sage Green) sounded disgusting so I just complete discounted it. Eventually as it was near me I took a look - WOW!! - bought it on the spot, it was beautiful. Funnily enough its actually for sale at the moment (I sold it back in 2006 to buy a Griff) - http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/t...
So based on that experience I convinced myself the Sag might be worth a look - so glad I did, again in the flesh the interior that didn't photograph well was absolutely gorgeous, very very well thoughtout colour wise. Beautiful light and airy cabin, a pleasure to be in.

have seen the color on a lexus if i do remember correctly and the pictures dont do justice that are online. of course depends anytime on the personal liking but e.g. wouldnt buy myself a black sag or a black t350. the shape of the car is However I did a similar thing back in 2004 when looking for a Chimaera. hidden by a to dark color. mine is currently undergoing major restauration and had been reflex charcoal. it is ok but went back to the roots with a classic british green colour. interior on mine had been almost fully green. when driving sometime it feels like walls moving closer. will now be black on black with alcantara and green stiching. exterior some carbon parts and gold wheels of different shape compared to the article in the sprint mag. when it is finished it is in better as new condition.
@PuffsBack
post a pic of your sag

Saturday was a great day, lots of fun to be had by all. My 9yr old daughter loved the run in the passenger seat through the grounds past the crowds.
Followed up by a very good Sunday as well. Was over at the Helminghall Festival of Classic and Sports cars. The Sag was swamped with admirers
James @ TVR mads has a bobby dazzler of a Sag if anybody is in the market for one
We have just serviced it ,
A big credit to the last owners ..
No signs of abuse at all
3.9 diff and C.R Stamped on the gearbox !!
Very very tidy car , cams A1 , valve clearance spot on
Wouldn't be a wasted journey if you had a few miles to travel to view it
Price wise , must be in the middle to top of all the other , must be .. Ohhhh and A/C is fitted

Nice one Martin
Have you done any tweeks yet , did you lift the leather trim back to its former glory with those magic sponges ??
Glad you are enjoying the Sag , I think it's a great car
2 more weeks and I'm opening that Vino you got us , top man thanks ..
Lol - yes the bloody sponges worked a treat! Leather has come up like new!! Ordered a new gear and handbrake gaiter however as they are looking a little worn. Also fitted the stainless steel power steering cradle that Mick never got around to fitting. Fixed the drivers sun blind that kept flopping down if you removed the wedge of cardboard holding it up. Also found a tiny pin prick of a leak from the ali rad so thats been repaired.Have you done any tweeks yet , did you lift the leather trim back to its former glory with those magic sponges ??

Only thing driving me nuts is the reversing light, the grub screw keeps working its way loose at the base of the gear stick - I take the centre console to bits, tighten it up, reversing light works a treat. 30 miles later grub screw is loose again.Must have tightened it 5 times!! Going to try some Loctite 243 on it this time!
Surface and Design also located some Chameleon Orange paint for me - just in case!!
Whats the occasion for the Vino? Last day of freedom ?
Ha haa yes , 2 weeks left of freedom..
My tracker is being fitted soon !!!
On the loose gearstick front ... If you can get hold of one ..
Remove gearstick , then with a angled drill ... Drill more of a recess into the stub so the grub screw goes in a few more mm,
Yes .. And more lock tight , make shure reverse works fine / tweek it a bit / then build it back up,
Or remove stubb 4 bolts etc ... Do in vice
Hope that helps
Ohh those miracle sponges .... Just ordered a box full
