Hi All - Tyre question again

Having just had a nail removed from my rear tyre, a big thanks to Wootton Tyres in Northampton for keeping me mobile but I am now faced with getting 2 new rear tyres. I currently have GY Eagle F1's the original symmetrical pattern and the fronts have plenty of tread left what are peoples thoughts about mixing with the latest asymmetrical GY's has anyone done this or maybe used an alternative or is it a definite no no, for general road use.

Don't do it. Tried it once and the car felt all over the place. Even mat smith (my mechanic) said he was scared driving it.

They're similar type of tyre, Id be surprised if you notice much difference, as long as both wheels on the same axle have new tyres rather than just one.
