The advert said:
Owned by the current vendor for the last 6 years, impressively enough during this time the car has only needed a replacement alternator.
That is rather low for new parts over 6 years. Either the owner has been very fortunate, or there could be a host of problems just waiting for the more fastidious owner.

Just noticed that they have updated the description of the Tamora, detailing that it is actually a CAT D car.

Does anyone know the history or owner of this one? The auction is just down the road from me, so I might just be tempted to have a look.

It looked straight enough, although I don't know what was wrong with it in the first place.

Went for £12k + premium (£1,200 + £240 VAT)

I was there and would have bought it at slightly less than it went for. Looked OK but a bit worn. It had a fair bit of rust on the chassis and both doors "caught" the body in the same place, making me wonder if it was twisted from the accident. Drivers door stopped opening during the day as well!

Hope the new owner has lots of fun with it.

To be fair, I'm not really familiar with TVRs, but the ones I have looked are all like that wink

'Hope the new owner has lots of fun with it.'

That's the plan ran it back to Hampshire last night ... who needs a stereo! Usual issues bootlid opens every 5th go, heater fan not working, bit squirrelly on braking from high speed. Good point just had a decent service from a non specialist ... luckly I live a couple of hundred yards from Taylor's so can just push it down the road when it breaks
;-)

It'll never be a showroom car but will get used and my maths isn't so good so bidding was easy

Come along to the weekly wedge meet. Northfleet or Greenwich Park.

Heater may be a simply the plug gone rather than the whole board. Do you know the relocation mod?

love the honesty.....there are a few things that "create" user errors with the TVR... i guess the idiosyncrasies are what make it what it is.

One thing I hate about the heater in the Tam is the fact that there's no hot air coming from the centre vents - not good for those sunny and crisp mid-Winter drives with the roof off!
