Hi all.
This year has been quite a tester as twice my flat was sold only for the cash buyers to pull out really late into the process. In both cases I found other properties but lost both. The flat is sold again so fingers crossed nothing falls through with this buyer.
The end result is I've now found another property that's more expensive than planned but ticks all the boxes (for the missus) My mortgage company have basically said I need to cut some debt to reach the affordability before exchange. Hence the dilemma, the TVR will probably have to go.
I've thought about replacements already and on the short list seems to be: s2000, z4m coupe and slk55 amg. Chim out the question as I've owned two in the past. Porsche Boxster I'm not keen on nor the z350/370.
Has anybody moved to or from these candidates and could recommend?

Hi.

Had a 3.0 Z4 before the T350.

If your thinking of one, stretch to an M. Worth it and less of a step down from the T350.

Also replace the exhaust with a twin Remus setup for more noise smileit's never going to be like a TVR but it will put a smile on your face and it's got some poke. The M is pretty rare on roads too so that adds to the grin factor. I miss the Z4 in the fact you get in it and go, whereas the TVR although an event preparing to go out in it, obviously has you wondering if it will raise an issue. You won't get that with the Z4 smile

The old shape Z4 all the way for me!

The others you mention are pants lol

My 3.0 si Z4 is available but honestly they are a pile of pooh
Mine is fully loaded and handles like a shopping trolley with a puncture dreadful thing. It's fast on a very smooth road .
Shame the 350 has to go, I did the same few years back, I had to let her go, got a chim 450 and never ever liked it. It's tough to try and find any replacement. Good luck and have fun looking. I did have a Mini Cooper S with 250 ish bhp that was insane fun and noise was almost as addictive as speed 6 noise.

What is it about the 350 that does it for you?

If I were choosing, then an Elise/Exeige would be my thoughts - or VX220 - asthe trackday fun would still remain.

If its the noise and looks how about a Wedge? Cheapest V8 TVR model.

How about a Corrado?

I'm hoping you did the sensible thing and got rid of the run flats, removed the clutch delay valve, fitted a zhp gear knob, strut brace, Remus exhaust. Different car then mate. The run flats make the drive shocking! Yes it's not an event but it's not pooh. I also suggested an M which is a level up from the 3.0.

I found the 350 pretty good too and you can chip them more, nismo body kit etc.

Here was mine smile

I think the z4m ticks a few boxes. Quite rare, raspy 6 pot engine, good equipment and still quick enough on the road. Looking at the classifieds there's opportunities under 15k.

a black SLK55 black series...or a SLK55 with supercharger

or way cooler ;-) buy a nice Z3 coupe and do a V8 swap, they drive very good, they look a bit classic and prices go up.

I have owned a z4mc ( the one with the m3 engine and not much suspension ) for 4 years having sold my seac 450 , and yes its a great car in all weathers which is a big plus , ok never such an event as any Tvr but its an all weather car that is fast and sounds mad over 3k revs , I didn't like booting the tvr in the rain ! The other thing is they are appreciating due to being a bit special and rare !
