Sagaris press car 7
Discussion
Anyone know anything about this never heard of this, obviously there is mr orange, mr blue and Candys, the grey one pictured was the prototype with a different body that I thought was one of one and smashed by a member of the press in germany? Never to be seen again, no one seemed to know where it went.

The car pictured above is the MPH '03 car. This car was a T350 shell with a Sagaris prototype front and back bonded to it. That car was dismantled for production patterns in order to become the Sagaris body master from which moulds were taken. It was destroyed in early'04First out of the moulds was a silver pre-production car which got written off and has since been rebuilt and shipped to Switzerland sitting in somebody's collection.
The next out was the pre-production 'Candy' car
The next out of the mould was the "R/T Sagaris" PJ54 WNL. TVR had decided to start a Sagaris race series and all the shells were all cast with cut out vents etc etc, then at the last minute the series was cancelled. WNL was already pretty much built though (as the intended showcase), so they finished it and then displayed it around the dealers as a show car as to what a race Sag would have looked like.
The next out was a pre-production black car now owned by Dom at TVR Power.
The next two cars out of the mould were the first 'proper' cars which ended up as the press cars (Chem Orange PN05 OUL & Blue PN05 OUX).
The next car out was purple press car (PF05 AMO).
The next cars, as far as I know were the first customer cars.

Mine which is PN05 OUK I believe was one of the first customer cars sold direct form factory to a local Bolton man, it was registered in early April and the paint mix date off the system from S&D was mid March. I'm guessing it was in the line up of cars outside the factory as there can't be many liquid silver cars with shadow chrome wheels..
Does anyone have any high res pictures of that photo shoot?
Cheers

There was one silver car at the shoot that day (it was parked next to Dom's PJ54 ZLK Black pre-production car at the top of the line), but that car had a YJ** **N registration.Does anyone have any high res pictures of that photo shoot?

Sorry to hi jack the tread with a Tuscan question but its in the same relm and it seems people in the know are here.
Does anyone know the order of the very early MkII Tuscans?
The reason being I believe my car is one of the pre-production test / certification cars and would love to know more.

Thanks for sharing, shame as I rather liked the idea it was mine! It was probably built though as it would have been registered in the same batch as the press cars...alex_gray255 said:
Nice looking car but one really pants looking video lol. The dance music is particularly scary!I've probably been very slow on the uptake but now I know where your question comes from:

I think all this talk of "car 7" might be a bit of bluff banded around by a previous owner/dealer to try and give the car some kudos. On launch day there was one Grigio car which was parked next to a Jag F1 green car, but I don't remember that having a Mulberry interior.
I guess without knowing what the number plate is, it'll be difficult to know 100%, but I don't ever recall seeing a Grigio press car and/or photos.

Hello all,
This is Ed of shmoo automotive. We are the currently advertising this car at the moment on behalf of the current owner.
We are told by the owner that it was a press/photo car, and we presume that is something the previous dealer told him when he bought it, and he then subsequently mentioned to us when we spoke about selling it for him.
We do actually know the car as we have fairly long term connections with Dulfords and Peninsula going back to when this car was owned by one of their techs. We had nothing to do with car back then from a sales point of view, but we were lead to believe at the time that it was a 'TVR' car and used in some capacity as a factory car/press car.
I'm more than happy to provide chassis and reg numbers, it would be nice to know one way or another if the stories connected to the car are founded.
Needless to say we want to be fair and accurate with it both for our sake and any future owners.
Many thanks,
Ed

Hi Ed - I think I might have worked out what car this is, I know why you wouldnt want to put the full reg number on here, so what's the first four characters of the 'original' reg number? E.g PN05This is Ed of shmoo automotive. We are the currently advertising this car at the moment on behalf of the current owner.

And are you 100% sure it's Grigio?
Cheers
