UPDATES....This car is now booked in with Dom at Power for a rebuild.
The engine had a slight rattle from cold. We asked Dom to do a full engine inspection which included checking this out. The engine overall got a clean bill of health, however we're told it's wear on the bottom scav pump chain causing the noise. Nothing all that serious, but an engine out job to replace the chains etc. On the basis that an extra £2500+VAT gets the engine fully refreshed it seems logical to do that and get the benefits, one of which is the 3yr warranty on the new unit, which the new owner will take the benefit off.
Should anyone have a serious interest in buying the car, this does give a very small window of opportunity of course to pay the extra and have the unit upgraded further to a 4.3 or 4.5. (Need to know this week by 22nd November 2015 and have a 10% Deposit on the car as a minimum or we will be just be having the 4.0 rebuild carried out.)
So to clarify, that means we are picking up the £4500+VAT invoice and the cost of the additional would be down to you.

Bespoke map £650 plus fuel
Only extra is relinering block £550 as per all engine quotes if there is excessive piston to bore clearance.
