I might treat the old girl with a belated birthday present as she turned 13 in September and she is still on the original discs & pads - I mustn't drive hard enough! getmecoat

That's what I had, too. I prefer the OEM look, and they're certainly effective.

OEM, is that the only reason for sticking with drilled, is there any difference in performance?

It's a strictly personal thing, but I think the drilled 322mm look better - the standards were effective enough, TBH, but mine needed changing, and at the time, the 322's were by far the cheapest option. Even if they were more expensive, I still would have chose them.

I am sure the grooved discs are great, too, but every time I have seen them on the cars, the grooves look oxidised, and never look as nice. I know looks aren't the be all and end all, especially for brakes, but as there's little wrong with the standard 304mm's (they're not having to stop a 2-ton SUV type monster), I preferred the trade off for the 322's.

Makes sense to me, another item for the Winter mod list

One last question, if the fronts go 304 to 322, what happens with the rears, are people leaving the originals on or are the rears going up a size too?

I would have liked to change the rears at the same time, but apparently it's not as straight forward for larger diameter discs, so I still have the originals.

i stay at the rear with the original 282mm size, but also from fortuna moto / brummmie

have heard that bigger 298mm rears (in our tam case) could end up with overbraking the rear ...

my first wish was 330 and 298mm, but as written before the big ones are "only" grooved available.

larger diameter discs can't be fitted out of the box on tamora at the rear because the caliper is mounted axial.
At the front it is mounted radial so you only need a spacer.

The car is a little more settled with the ratio of front to rear disc diameters as standard.

Red Rose upgrade does not tend to lock the rears. If the rears are locking, there is another issue.
