For the avoidance of any doubt there are number of us who go out driving searching for more demanding/challenging roads that keep us aware focused and test our ability to drive (there is no margin of error on the B roads we stumble across)
We are not snobs or envy what the others turn up in,to give to an idea we have cars such as Kit cars Mazda MX5's,308,360,355,430,Scud,Gallardo SL, Diablo SV,Aston V12,Cobra,R8,Viper,964.997 986 and McLaren 650s and TVR yes TVR's
The age of the drivers are from 21-65 we all enjoy the drive outs, some take their time some get ahead of the programme like naughty school kids lol if we lose sight of other drivers we pull over and regroup and carry on.
The most fun part is when we stop for a bite to eat,the banter we have is better than the drive out.We call each others cars their driving abilities yet we all agree we are having an awesome day!
I organise the runs and if anyone of you guys would like to join in then please PM me,you will see the real side of green bandit and all the others
Tomorrow we have a small group and the plan is to head to North Wales
Have a nice day guys and enjoy your cars :-)

Funny, I too have the 4.3 and have never been under the illusion that my little Tam was a 'Supercar'. It's a fast sports car at its best when B-Road blasting. It's not a 12 cylinder multi turbo'd continent muncher - but then again, it's a fraction of the price.

15 years ago, it may have been a different story...

Well I think this is brilliant, a sag that cost nearly 50% more than new ten years ago has sold pretty straight away, and people said they were never going above 40 again lol.

Totally understand where the op comes from I imagine some super cars to be savage and a sag is not that its smooth but suprisingly quick, had no probs chasing a gallardo.

its like saying a gt3 isnt fast, its not when compared to a turbo but the emotions you get driving far surpass what a turbo is.

Its great that its sold, its great that they are being brought by people who do have a great collection, it just shows that they got it right and made a gem.

There are plenty of cars im sure rocco could buy and has but he now includes a sag which given his collection is brilliant and says it all

That drive looks epic and loverly cars

Ps when is there going to be a comparison between a 4.0ltr and a 4.3, we need to go to brunters

Right fully said and yes i could have bought somethig a lot different yet for me the looks of the Sag is to die for
Bought what i believe was the best car on the market, could have saved money and bought the black one at Str8six with less miles yet went for the more expensive one
Nice to hear from someone who understands the difference between n/a and turbo power delivery
As i said would rather be in the Sag for long distance driving than any other car i have, also rather than throwing caution to the wind i joined AA You never know lol
Roll on Sunday

I pitched that idea to Chris Harris - standard 3.6, standard 4.0, a FFF, a 4.3 and a 4.5. As you can see, nothing happened..... biggrin

It always suprises my passengers how roomy the car is for a small car, can fit a bit of luggage in too. I think the visability is great aswell looking over your shoulder down slip roads you can see out the side rear quarter window. It is a very well thought out car.

First of all and lets get this right, I am not fecking jealous in anyway shape or form mad as Rocco has just bought my perfect Sag colour combo and engine

I think some people have got a little OTT with some remarks, we all get a little touchy about our fav cars and marque, trust me I am guilty myself but I think reading what has been said some are fair comments and they could be argued for ever but we all have our onions and I am not going to offer any as enough has been said

Rocco it sounds like you bought the Sag for you own personal reasons so lets hope you enjoy the car for what you bought it for

I am a complete TVR nut and have three a Cerb a Griff and a 4.5 T350 and I keep looking at Sags but everyone tells me I am thinking about mad selling my T350 and Griff as they are well sorted, but like you I will buy a car what ever make as long as I am happy

Anyway good luck and enjoy, you will get use to bits rattling around and take no notice after a while smile

And let's not forget when the Sagaris was released it was up against the Ferrari 360 and 996 GT3,

The Sag was quicker than the 360 (big disappointment) and 96 Gt3 I tested, to compare it with 458s, 991 Gt3s etc is a little unfair, it's 10 years old now remember.

I test drove 5 360s, all were pants and slower than the Sag. 430 far better and quicker smile
