Does anyone have any experience of the electronic wing mirror controls in the Tamora? When using the mirror control for the left hand mirror, it doesn't matter how I try to adjust it the mirror just moves upwards giving me a great but useless view of the sky. If I switch to the right hand mirror the controls work as expected and I can adjust the mirror up/down, left/right. Can anyone tell me if they have had the same problem? I am not sure how to track it down to either the mirror or control. Any pointers? Are the controls easy to take out?

Now here's the weird thing. I took off the centre tunnel as the Tamora electrical system PDF I found says the mirror ECU is in the tunnel. Couldn't find it. Just some cables and connectors. If you have seen the mirror ECU let me know where you found it. I had planned on testing the signal outputs on the ECU but no joy as couldn't find it. Put the tunnel cover back on and had a look behind the mirror controls. Jiggled the wires around a bit turned ignition to accessories and the mirror works fine now. No idea why as I didn't do anything. Sounds like TVR electrics. 🙂

It could be a couple of things but I once had some drama like this and it turned out to be corroded connectors for the mirror electrics inside the doors. Replaced the contacts with new and all fixed.

Cheers,
Chris

Sounds like it could be a short on the connector/loom of that mirror. If it was the switches it would do the same on both mirrors.
