Anyone got a list they are looking to fulfill before the summer comes?

I have two, one for standard replacement/repair type stuff, and another for upgrades.

Currently have the front of the car stripped, and have fitted a new front nose loom as my alarm and air temp sensor cables, among others, looked a bit tatty. A new air con condenser is next with Pipework to connect it all up as my aircon he been previously removed. Then an alloy radiator and high flow fans.....a busy couple of weeks ahead!

Many more on both lists....

Great are those manifolds ceramic coated. When I have the Power 4.7 I'll be doing mine I red me thinks. Will be interesting to see how they aid the 4.3 as I hear coating the manifolds does wonders as a normal mod.

Keep me posted on diffuser (if the Yes was meant for me) wink

Zircotec Performance coating with Zitcotec engine bay heat shield.

Hoping for some good results smile I've coated the manifolds, cats and engine brackets near manifolds.

Mines detailed this week so that's the main to do now off my list, getting a full 2 stage paint prep followed by engine bay, wheels, interior and then Gtechniq crystal serum.

Then, sort out seats - poss Tuscan though now thinking about getting mine reshaped a little on the base.
New wheels
Adjust drivers door (dropped a touch) and re-align the window.
Other than that shes near perfect.

Hmm, I might have a spare one in the next few months as I'm removing mine and replacing it with
a CF version.

Ping me in a few months if you still need it as I will be likely to forget.

Reminds me, I think Rhys Williams had a spare one going - not sure it was for a Sag or a T350 though.

I'll check tonight - or will try to as long as I remember biggrin

Just been quoted £304+VAT to have the manifolds ceramic coated. How does that compare to what you paid? I'm feeling like I'm being stung????

I'm getting an AES exhaust system made for my Sag and looked at coating the manifolds, but to be honest, it wasn't worth it
and found another way of sorting it out.

To hear you say that Alex I must be getting stung. Would have done it while car goes in for engine rebuild. But hmmm they better quote me happier.

Contacted Rhys he has a Sag one also. Never thought how that may work on the Cerb... Is the exhaust moulds in the right places to get clearance I wonder (I have 4" tails on my Cerb) still may have fun finding out. Alex keep me informed and have itwith you at Shuttleworth. wink

One of the best ways of reducing temps in engine bay is to have your manifolds coated. Plus it can offer some performance gains as a result of the reduced temperatures. You have unrealistic expectations on cost. Yes you can pay around the cost your quoted, probably camcoat or a local company but from feedback I've had they aren't necessarily the best available. I went Zircotec Performance which is a higher performance coating they do for road and for track. It's guaranteed for 3 years for both but obviously lasts significantly longer and has estimated decreases in manifold temps by up to 33% .

It was about £700, inc vat and delivery, which included my manifolds, cats and several brackets.

Quotes I had was over 2.5k for coating the whole system or about 750-850 for doing the manifolds and few over bits (won't quote suppliers as I tried a few).

Decatting will help.
