Morning all. . .

A small section on my T350c chassis (outrigger front end unsurprisingly) has an area of the powder coating flaking off. In order to protect it I'm looking to clean it up and put some rust preventative on (as it's still solid). I'll probably just repaint the area afterwards and was wondering if anyone had already played the game of trying to get a good paint match for the 'standard' powder coating.

My car lives on a hoist for most of the Winter so the chassis is seen quite a bit and it would annoy me having a section in red lead / chassis black!

Thanks for the reply - I was rather hoping someone had already played that game wink

When I touched up some bits a couple of years ago I used an etch primer followed by a mix of black and white Hammerite from tins to get a match on the colour.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies. I was going to try Leornard Brooks (via their homemade 90's website) but I think I'll plumb for RAL7038 as that worked for somoeone on this thread with a similar vintage T350c to mine (which also lead me to Leonard Brooks from the noughties. . .)

Just to finish this off - I ordered some RAL 7038 in aerosol (2K) from these guys and it appeared next day. Dunno if it matches yet though. . .

Sorry for the delay in replying - it matched very well (with my car, can't promise the same with yours!!!) Next time it's up on the hoist I'll get a picture.
