Just been reduced to £57k saw it at Burleigh. Will have a decent engine if it's a Powers rebuild. Has anyone been to see it just wondering why it hasn't sold yet at that price? Not sure about the interior but looks to be a good example

Thanks Chris. Good to meet you yesterday. Really enjoyed the run to Burghley and yep, all good with the greenie. God I love TVR's!!

Re the aircon, I'm not sure who could retro fit. When I had my Tuscan Str8six where not interested in fitting it but at least I could remove the roof and rear screen in that car. A Sag needs it in my limited experience.

Anyway, all moot. It might have aircon. Ha!

I wasn't that impressed with it to me it looked tired inside and out. The one that James agger had for sale looked far superior, sadly though he wouldn't offer me the 50k I needed for my Tuscan.... Although the wife liked it a lot!!!!!!!

It has AirCon, you can clearly see the compressor in front of the air box

Neither cars looked particularly well presented, but if that's the market for Sags, 100K for a very nice one owner normal person spec car (not specified by someone on LSD) can't be that far away. eek

I have noticed that there are 4 saggys that have been for sale for over 7 months now, it seems that the best condition cars sell within a few days.TVRMs says the bet ones will keep going up and the "normal" ones are priced to high........

Thanks for all the advice, I agree that the James Agger one looked in better condition at Burleigh but without having a proper look underneath these cars it's always difficult to tell. Will keep on looking, toying with the idea really as the funds will be a stretch. Probably kidding myself!

I'm amazed that my old Sag is still for sale, If I had the money I would buy it back in a heartbeat.. Superb car in every way.. Looked amazing in dark grey with the red/grey full leather interior, totally stunning car.. Someone please buy it before I remortgage the house to buy it back, Lol.. Sags are very very special cars.

That's just not true, the public often assume that there is something wrong with a car because it has not sold and is still available. They assume lots of people are viewing the cars and finding something wrong with them? But in reality there are just not that many people in the market to buy TVRs at this price level. Middle of April 2016 and nobody has been to view my Sagaris this year yet. (I wish I had taken my Sagaris to Burghley now.) But in my opinion it is still better than having money sitting in a bank account, so I keep it rather than trading out of it.

You can live in the car; but you can't drive the house... ;-)

Hello Chaps,

Yes A/C and nice and cold.. smile

Nobody has been to view the car in the time we've had it. (Granted it was with Dom for nearly 3mths). So the market is possibly slow on Sags, but we did sell the 4.5 in Reflex Charcoal very quickly. Maybe being a 4.5 helped.

Our first appointment on the car is weekend of 23rd actually!

We're selling it for the owner and that's why it's been reduced, and if not sold soon it will be heading back to him.

The car is in very good condition and the interior is one of the best we've seen on a TVR.

Sunday was a very last minute affair, and we just headed up with a couple of cars and didn't spend a day detailing like we would if putting cars on a stand.

When we reduced it the conversation at this end did centre around people saying 'What's wrong with it?' 'Why's it so cheap?' etc etc.

Well, now you know, the car is just a genuine well priced example and it's down to the buyers to come and see it and make their own minds up before it's kept as a long term investment by the current owner.

Only 30,000 miles, new engine and clutch, lovely unworn interior. 3yr Dom warranty..... Got to be worth a shufty for someone?

Lots of very hi-res and detailed pics on our website www.shmooautomotive.co.uk.

Cheers, Ed

smile Yeah, that's a whole different kettle of fish. I've been involved with Porsche since we all thought those were expensive at £60k! OMG, how I wish I'd just bought 3 of those and stuck them in the garage 14yrs ago....

Thread drift, but in the interests of making you possibly feel better, I was given the EX directory number of someone selling a Brough SS80 14 years ago. I was told he would not sell it to just anyone but would sell it to me, but I didn't have the £13k to buy it....if only I had known.
