Smell of fuel - how strong?
Discussion
As the title really....
Obviously a lot of TVRs smell of fuel, my Tuscan did But very minimal.
My new saggy absolutely stinks of fumes... Especially while just cruising, like its egging my on to burn more lol! All seriousness it's uncomfortably strong. Good thing I don't smoke.
How smelly is yours?

Shouldn't be any smell at all.
If its in the cabin the problem is likely to be a problem with the fuel sender sealing or the rubber pipes to the tank. Access is under a panel held in by self tapping screws under the rear offside carpet in the boot area.
But I'd take it back to the dealer first as you've only just bought it!

It's in the cabin very strong, it has just had a new fuel sender fitted at power, so maybe it needs some adjusting?
The car is going to Dom next week for a preliminary service for my ownership, so will get him to check it out.
Thank you - this place is full of knowledge

Is there a difference with the windows up/down?
definitely worse with the windows up, need them down for some fresh air... Might be a poor seal to the fuel sender assembly; if it had the fuel sender changed recently,
this might not have been re-installed properly...as Englishman has already pointed out
Car looks fab by the way!

Hmm, get the top of the gas tank checked out, simple job to lift the carpet up and take a look-see.

Yeah will be getting it checked out ASAP, can't be driving it like that. I'm not even going to attempt to have a look.Might be a poor seal to the fuel sender assembly; if it had the fuel sender changed recently,
