As the title really....

Obviously a lot of TVRs smell of fuel, my Tuscan did But very minimal.

My new saggy absolutely stinks of fumes... Especially while just cruising, like its egging my on to burn more lol! All seriousness it's uncomfortably strong. Good thing I don't smoke.

How smelly is yours?

Shouldn't be any smell at all.

If its in the cabin the problem is likely to be a problem with the fuel sender sealing or the rubber pipes to the tank. Access is under a panel held in by self tapping screws under the rear offside carpet in the boot area.

But I'd take it back to the dealer first as you've only just bought it!

Hi Englishman

It's in the cabin very strong, it has just had a new fuel sender fitted at power, so maybe it needs some adjusting?

The car is going to Dom next week for a preliminary service for my ownership, so will get him to check it out.

Thank you - this place is full of knowledge

Hmm, get the top of the gas tank checked out, simple job to lift the carpet up and take a look-see.
Might be a poor seal to the fuel sender assembly; if it had the fuel sender changed recently,
this might not have been re-installed properly...as Englishman has already pointed out smile

Car looks fab by the way!

Yeah will be getting it checked out ASAP, can't be driving it like that. I'm not even going to attempt to have a look.

Thank you very much loving it to bits

Same here....no smell. I did have a fuel leak develop above the petrol tank a few months ago though. I simply needed to tighten up a Jubilee clip to fix it via the access panel in the boot. Sorted quickly as fuel was dripping onto the exhausteek I would get it looked at pronto.....

Sometimes get this in the Tam if I really try and fill up to the top, particularly on a hot day. Now tend to stop at the first click of the handle and haven't noticed a smell of petrol for a while now.

I would get it back to the Dealer asap on a trailer , if it was not there on the test drive or trip home then something is wrong, the last thing you need is fuel going on the exhaust pipe.......Best of luck, lovely looking car by the way

Thank you everyone....

Ed at shmoo has been a great help, the car was picked up this morning on a trailer and is already at TVR power getting checked over!

Now time to wait for him to be delivered back.... Going to feel like forever.
