I know that the Sagaris has higher and wider pick up points for the wishbones, and that the rear dampers locate differently (do the front as well?).

I also know that aside from the pick up points the T car chassis' are fundamentally the same design.

I've been told that the last of the Tamora's off the production line shared exactly the same chassis as the Sagaris (ie the last of the Tam chassis has the Sag pick up points AND Tam pick up points), as the Sagaris chassis has the Tamora pick up points drilled as well as the Sagaris pick up points like this...

So to my question...

IF one could locate one of these late chassis, then what do you need implement the Sagaris set up. Assuming you have the Sag pick up points on a Tamora Chassis can you also replicate the more upright rear strut set up?

I ask because I want to create a convertible Sagaris, and if I can find a late Tamora with the pick up points then that's the route I'll go out of preference rather than starting with an earlier Tam.

You could just move most of the components to the sagaris mounting points but I have never seen this chassis on a Tamora ( including , probably , the last)

Certainly not been able to locate one.

It's plausible I guess depending on how the chassis were made/delivered and what was on order at the time. Presumably the reason both sets are drilled on the Sag is that the idea was to move to a single chassis design.

Am waiting on a set of pics for a mid 2005 (perhaps just late enough to have one of these, just early enough to have not fallen foul of gathering up whatever was left prior to the very end)

Out of interest, how would you describe the handling from one of your modified Tuscan/Tamora conversions compared to a genuine Sagaris with respect to the improvements in handling on the Sagaris attributed to track/ride height?

To add a datapoint, just seen a late 2005 Tamora chassis (this, I had guessed, would have been mid Sagaris production so possibly lots of Sag chassis in the factory at this point).

Standard Tamora chassis - no Sag pick up points.

Given a selection I have seen and feedback from others, I have found no evidence to back up Sag chassis being used in Tamora's ever.
