Dash problem !

Hi,

Have a problem with speedo in that it's very stud dish to move on the start-up sequence and never gives the same ready at the end. Often gives speedo error.

Dash ECUi is just back from repair, swapped the ribbon cables round but still the same problem.

Stepper motor also sounds very noisy.

Thing it needs a new stepper motor but who check it and do the repair ?

Also last question, does the little ventilation fan run all of the time?

It does sound like the stepper motor is at fault, if the ECU is moving the motor by X positions but detect it's moved to a different location you will get the speedo error.

Replacing the stepper motor shouldn't be a big job, but as I've never had any dash issues I've not needed to contact someone.

It shouldn't... on my Sag it only ran when the cabin got really hot, however on my T350 it seems to kick in way sooner. I will be checking to see if the thermostat is fubar when I get a few hours to take the dash out.
