Is the Air Conditioning in S6 cars effective?
How does heat soak in S6 cars compare with RV8 engined cars?
A T350C appeals but concerned about in-cabin temperatures.
Many thanks.

Air con on T350c is ice cold, and keeps the cabin air nicely cool. The tunnel gets quite warm though with exhaust and underbody hot air flow but it is nice and comfortable inside. Can be hit and miss across different cars which would suggest a problem. It's a basic system but effective enough.

Certainly works well on my Dads T350, turn it on and it's freezing pretty quick. Leave it on too long though and an error code pops up (common issue IIRC).

Mine was rubbish from new, hopefully something the new cars will get sorted.

Mine works fine , even if you have the roof off it gives a nice blast of cold . Understanding the heating system is a bit of a dark art though.

The A/C in my old 350 was brilliant, couldn't really direct the flow very well but I wouldn't have had it without it.

Good to know that most have had a good experience. Thanks for all the replies.

I will add that if you've driven the car for a long period with AC on it will be ice cold ( well mine is) however, if you let it sit for a while, say at a service station, it does take a while for the cabin to Cool back down, heat soaks into everything.

Thanks
The reason for asking is that I used to have a Chim with AC and even after re-gassing it wasn't that great.
By the sounds of it, the system used for T cars is much better.

I think getting rid of the cats can help cabin temps too as it is them that really heat up the centre tunnel!

I didn't have Cats and I think it helped the heat soak as my A/C was very good standing still too.

Ditto for me too for what it's worth. The transmission tunnel and gearknob don't really heat up at all (well not above what you would reasonable expect).

When I had the T350 I fit an extra vent on the dash to direct air to my face, as the air con was cold but not powerful

A bit O/T, but the aircon in my Tuscan is pants. No evidence that it has ever been re-charged in it's service history. Anybody successfully used one of the DIY re-charge kits you can buy from Halfrauds, etc?

Have to say the a/c in my '05 Sag is pretty good. Rudimental yes, but keeps up with the heat on a summer's day.

Can't comment on diy kits, not hugely expensive to get done properly though.
