my tamora’s (2004) dashboard shows multiple faults like watertemp/ fuelsensor/ oilpressure/airboxtemp. ..
BUT compared with olli’s dashboard via data-cable all IS OK.
when i reset adaptive maps and all other it’s ok for some time but after the sensor“horror“ starts again.

all sensors are new also the battery in the dash-ecu.

in the meantime my dashboard shows fault code 21 „speedometer“; if i try to adjust through "factory" nothing happens ;-(

thank you very much for input !

I would disconnect/reconnect the clock pack either at the ECU or on the back of the clocks and see what that does. Not sure code 21 is the speedo zero though? You might have a bad earth or the sensors may be out of range, for example when it is very cold I get the water temp & oil temp warnings until the sensor reads 0 deg+

Here is a full list of the fault/warning codes. I have seen a lot of them over the years & it does seem to be accurate list

Random crazyness in the dash for me was the earth connection in the passenger footwell. Half a turn and everything went back to normal.

thank you all ;-)

the earth in the footwell is tight since one year, i just looked again this morning still tight ..

could it be same screw on the "battery"-side as well or are there other places to look for ?

thanks for advice.

there is an earth in the battery compartment as well and I think one on the chassis near the engine, I had the same thing as well had them all cleaned up and an extra one fitted to act as separate earth for the dash, also take off ribbons to dash ECU by the foot pedals and clean them up, I also had a broken ribbon and replaced it now all fine

heads up on the passenger footwell earth, you need to get to bot sides to make sure it is tight, tight on the inside doesn't count smile

Does this involve taking off the front wheel?

yes and the battery cover panel ..

you see the nut at the left (2 black cables) and the 2nd earth at the frame. the nut is on both sides (footwell also) a 17mm
