Changing the seat to something smaller / fixed could be an option

Also it would be a track day car (probably trailered) and occasionally weekend drive, how would reliabilty be when being driven hard?

Also, how much does the stock diff lock on accelrarion?

Cheers

I'm 6 feet and had to remove the seat cushion to fit with the helmet. So you might need a different seat...

Seat cushion is just held with Velcro so it can be removed and height adjusted accordingly.

Look at Lotus Elise/Exige seats, these can be bolted direct to the floor with a pair of brackets and give several inches more headroom

Peter, the T car seats bolt to the chassis as the have the seat belt mounted to them too. So the Elise seats will need the Lotus bases too. Should still be lower though.

Tuscan seats can have the seat cushion altered to give more headroom and provide better harness arrangement. The should just bolt in.

That said a trackday car would benefit from a proper race seat.

6'4" may or maynot fit. Depends if you're long legged or long bodied. Best advice is sit in one and see.

Hydralock diff was not a TVR special as far as I am aware so will perform as they do in other cars. Quaife do a mechanical one that people have fitted and say is an improvement.

If Mr Wheeler could fit at 6ft5 then why not? You should be fine if you remove the seat base, just Velcro as somebody else above has mentioned.

Proper T350 seats (not Tuscan) with seat cushion removed is the best easy option. Tuscan seat doesn't fit in the T350 properly and you will sit higher with that seat/car combo. Diff is little slow to lock but not bad.

Car should be OK used hard if good to start with. Ensure you keep an eye on the oil level all day and don't be tempted to go to hard at the start of session or after lunch when oil temps have dropped.

Did 10k track miles in my first Sag, correctly serviced and was anal about Oil and temps. No issue other than disc and tyre consumption. smile

I've Tuscan seats in my T350 which fit fine. In fact I prefer them to the T350 seats in the Sagaris. I'm 6"2, longer in body than legs marginally (32 leg) take the pad out. So for road trips for hours at a time or casual driving. Job done, no issues with comfort.

That's as maybe, but the fact is, the Tuscan seats don't fit as well as the originals and as a result you sit higher with the Tuscan seat, which also does not travel as far back as the "correct" seat.

I'm 6 2 and have 33/34 inside leg and sold my last Sag as I couldn't get correct (not T350) seats that would allow me to drive it comfortably day to day..

I wont start on seat belt brackets digging into seats or trying to push the side windows out.

Not had an issue with either seat. Personally, the Tuscan ones are better for a harness.

Though, as I have already said, a trackday car would benefit from a proper race seat.

As far as I know the only two options for seats in the Sagaris are Tuscan and T350. You can also move the pedal box to provide extra room. My seats are far from its furthest point back and the same with the pedal box...weird!

Agree on the seat belts smile although I guess they run more when the seats right back.

Got you on a technicality Steve, Sagaris never had T350 Seats. smile

It was the height that got to me with the Tuscan seats...

Im 6ft4 and fit in the sagaris with a helmet on if the bolster is removed form the seat but the lump in the roof helps, or go for a 350T with the removable panel

Ditto me too...6'3'' and fit in the Sagaris and T350T with helmet on if bolster is removed....incidentally, irrespective of all this, you should remove the bolster anyway as you sit lower in the car (tip number 1 from a certain Mr Michael Caine!)

Are you saying that you drive the car all the time with the bolster removed?

I tried to fit in a T350 which had aftermarket bucket seats fitted. It was absolutely impossible with no headroom at all.
I am 6' 3".

Take the pad out you'll be fine. I'm 6"2 and longer body than legs.

Nope, just when tracking the cars.

Incidentally, and for those who love trivia, the Sagaris has a set of Sparco race seats fitted by the factory...and are EXTREMELY snug for those of you who have sat in the car will notice. Allegedly when a certain Mr S was using the car as his 'company car' he wanted these seats fitted ...for his wife. For someone of...err..my 'proportions'....these seats actually restrict the flow of blood to the legs after about two hours resulting in a numb clutch or accelerator/brake foot...this is a very effective way of ensuring I don't eat too much turkey at Christmas!!
