EFI Fault code

I keep getting a EFI fault code on the dash, had everything checked out and there appears to be no issues? is it just a gremlin? or any ideas on how to clear it?

EFI Fault means a fault in the Engine ECU. You need to use the diagnosis software to read the faults from the ECU...could be a lot of different things.

Thanks for the reply. ive had the ECU checked and ive been told there are no issues there?

Are you above 2000 meters sealevel by any chance?
EFI fault is a standard fault up at that height including massiv loss of power.

No, not that far above sea level. Can anyone recommend anyone in the west midlands to have a look at it?

I had a similar problem with similar success in sorting it.

After a lot of faff re-aligning the throttle pots sorted it.

May not be the answer to your problems but worth a try.

The ONLY senseful way is to use a diagnostic tool to look for a fault.

BTW, normally you do not need to align the throttle pots on a SpeedSix Engine. You only need to reset the throttles through the diagnostic software.

Things I've seen cause EFI faults. Dodgy (or completely knackered) lambda sensor(s) , Disconnected Airbox temp sensor . Knackered throttle pots just made mine run like sh@t.
