Of all the T cars it's the little Tam that continues to gain quiet respect, I need to get Mrs A to overcome her dislike of the looks tho otherwise I'd have one in an instant

Yeah, can't get enough of my latest TVR. No plans to sell it as nothing else really floats my boat. 4WD turbo cars might be quicker across country but the fun factor just isn't there.

- M3 CSL in black maybe (bad image, want to get let out at junctions)
- Nissan 350Z with a supercharger conversion - nice, but a bit ricetastic
- Noble - no storage, not practical, fugly IMHO (M15 excluded)
- Lotus - too small, horrid practicality
- Porsche 911 - er, no, except the GT2 but that still has that awful interior
- Aston - V8 nice, but details spoil it for me
- Marcos - interesting - not keen on the interior and the fact it looks like a 30 year olf Marcos.
- Caterfield - no safe for road driving IMO (people won't see you)
- Bike - I'm not a donor

So its a TVR for me then. T350 is my favourite style, Tuscan 2 convertible is tempting though (stick a T350 interior in it lads).

I'd buy my car again for sure! In fact some fool is selling one the same colour in the classifieds. We all know red is fastest (followed by blue, with yellow somewhere at the back fighting off the flies ).

Hi,

I'm Chim based at the moment but I would to be looking for a T350 in around 9-12 months time so I am now following this forum closly. I hope that there are more positive stories over the coming months!!

Bevan.

I know as PH'ers we tend to emphasise performance and then reliability, but practicality is the name of the game for everyday use. The T350 can operate as a hatchback when needed and mine never complains at being kept below 40mph all afternoon. I do though!

Speaking of practicality, on the way home from Europe last summer I got this in the Tamora, along with two peoples camping kit and stuff for three weeks.

Im on my second T350C now, i traded my 03 red T350 in for a new 55 reg one last September.
Just got the red one perfect, full front respray, 10k miles perfectly run in and then traded it in agaiinst a new one, wanted the 3 yr warranty.
All in all its been 3 years of ownership, never had any mechanical faults with either, only niggle was locking seatbelts in the first one but the new one is fine. Had a few pinking issues with the 1st car which were sorted, All in all 3 years of trouble free motoring with a massive grin factor.

Would recommend it to anyone

Or get a Tamora.......

The T2conv has a revised interior I thought with the dials from the other T cars.

T2 Conv has proper T stylee dials yes, but the passenger dash 'swoop' and central ally control look awful IMO.

Not for me - the T350 is so much better looking in my eyes (personal taste), and the targa roof is great. The Tamora convertible-ness is just like the Chimaera I owned for 6 years - I'd like an improved hood retraction design (or at least one that goes in the boot without removing luggage) before I buy my next TVR convertible - ideally folding onto the rear shelf to make use of the space. The full roll cage helped persuade me into a T350 too (shocking images we've seen today though).

Phew, I got through that without mentioning fat arses...

Totally understand! Least when you own a tamora, you dont have to utter the words "does my arse look big in this!".

But in my opinion it knocks the socks of the chimera and grif, so dont know why they are not more popular! I also agree with the roof, but basically get round it by pretty only driving with the roof off!

Just thought I would add that last week I part exchanged my Mark 1 Tuscan ( 2003) for a 2005 T350 from a dealer near Derby and the handling and build quality are both fantastic compared to earlier TVR's I have had. I am now convinced I have done the right thing and could only be tempted by the Sagaris if funds allow at some point in the future. Driving the T350 down through Italy in the summer with another T350T and 2 Tuscans so will be interesting to see the handling differences at speed. My T350C sounds great, looks great and the help from the dealer was outstanding.

I am shocked that you have not included the BMW ZMCoupe in your list, I currently own one, and am finding it very difficult to find a replacement car, they have everything, performance, style, luggage room, build quality, and with only 168 rhd later models built they are certainly rare.

Hmm, they're a great car. Not for me though. I'm 6ft 5 and they're too tiny inside.
