Also what's that big alloy button to the right of the steering column?

If I remember correctly from the yellow now red press car it's the light switch/twisty thing.

Hey, being in the USA, I love that third brake light--gives me hope for a new TVR in my garage someday...

Ted, what's the steering column from? How come there isn't any nice alloy indicator stalks? Also what's that big alloy button to the right of the steering column?

alloy 'button' looks like the 'leccy mirror adjustment. slot above it is for immobiliser, I suspect. Indicator stalks look like the ones I had in a rental focus last weekend....

The Tamora is growing on me too. Unfortunately I don't have 36k so I don't need to make a choice.

What I would like is someone to graft a Chimaera/Griffith body on to the Tamora running gear. I'd bet it's not that hard to do, even if the Tamora chassis is longer etc.

It could then be called a Tamaera, or maybe even a Taffith (these would sell like hot cakes in Wales). Or if you live in a muddy field it could be a Grimera. Ha ha he he ho ho.

Really must do some work sometime!

...and I've just had the pleasure to notice that the crooks at the TVR-Centre are offering the car for test drive and sale at £37k. Obviously they will buy the car back from you after 6 months (and 3k miles) for no more than £26K if experience is anything to go by.

ex TVR owner,

I fed up with all this negative sniping, mainly from people who hide behind a non registered sign on ID - your surname isn't Brundle by any chance is it?

If you feel have a valid point at least have the decency to register and identify yourself.

well more and more Tamora's are at last appearing and hopefully mine won't be too long behind them. having gambled on buying on at birmingham last year, my patients have been slowly running out.But having got loads of magazines with write ups about the car, all have been very positive. The rear is an aquired taste but if your that bothered about it you'll won't be buying one will you!!!
By the way ted was the roof up or down??

Roof was up. Didn't try the roof off. Roof slots into the boot but doesn't leave a huge amount of room. More than a Wedge, a bit more than an S.

Ted, the alloy button beside the steering pod looks like a starter button but I thought TVR had abandoned that with the Cerbera? Certainly the slot above is for the immobiliser yes? Oh and regarding the rump I am waiting to see one in a dark colour. I have a suspicion it could look much better in dark green, perhaps the reflex number like PWs Tuscan racecar. Rich...

The main problem with this is, though it's boring it's also true. The one thing that is putting me off buying one is the thought of having my pants pulled down by a rapist dealer if I had to sell the thing. The 2nd hand Tuscan prices are a worrying factor in buying a Tamora. I do want one though and I have driven it already. I can confirm what Ted says. Its handling and performance are nothing like I expected. The most comfortable best handling TVR I have ever driven... and the noise is far superior to the Tuscan.

Hi TVRiders,

now that we have read all about the car I would like to get my hands on some sales literature on the Tamora. Anyone able to help as I live in the Netherlands?! Like a set of recent postcards and/or a brochure! Thanks.

Forgot to mention - the switches to control the LCD display are behind the steering wheel, paddle style.

There's also an electrical inflatable lumbar support with a switch between your legs. Seems a little unnecessary that one!

I have just been taken for a thorough thrashing....round Millbrook in a Tamora and I have to say, I'm converted, I don't care if it doesn't look as sexy as a Griff it's the most complete car I've ever experienced. Very rapid, brilliant forgiving and fun handling, great noise, comfortable. I want one! This is time to buy shares in TVR

Afternoon All,

Just had a quick butchers at the official Tiv website, and the full shabang has been included about the Tamora. Looks pretty evil in yellow with the black hood in the gallery pics. Whats more surprising is the car is actually a bit dirty in the pictures shown in a quarry of some sort. Wonder if it would be even more menacing with a set of black wheels? This car is sex on steroids, admittedly it looks a tad different from some of the other models but if it wasn't for evolution and that Darwin chap we would still be furry and munching berries from the trees. I look forward to the day when I am able to afford one (can I get a student loan for £35k ish) and have a big cheesy grin all day long.

If the Chimaera gets a nickname of Chimp, the Cerbera Cerbie, what will the Tamora be?

How about the Wynnette. Stand by your man.

Took a look at the new pictures of the Tamora on the official website.

Firstly, whoever took the pictures did a great job. I hate yellow cars, but this thing looks gorgeous !!!

Even the rump looks good in these pics. The side view is fantastic.

This car has GOT to come to the States. We've got a hole for the passenger airbag in the dash, get a steering wheel like the one in the 360 Modena with a driver airbag, and we've got a contender on our hands if we can pass the crash tests....

Question is......... when ???
