Hello,

Does anyone know any history / previously owned any of the Tamoras currently at TMS?

They seem to have had the same stock for quite a few months now. I am wondering if they are problematic examples?

I am going to test a Tamora before I make up my mind about buying a Tuscan (or newer Cerb) at TMS.

Thanks

Tony

i have just bought a tuscan however i was considering a
tamora and there are tamoras that have been for sale since jan!!! (grey 02 6k 29995!!)they just dont seem to be selling i had hawthorns demo for a couple of hours and it was a really good car but with the striking looks of the tuscan and t350c does the tamora lack some thing in the looks department?? even main dealers have had sub 30k tams for over a month

Flasher's is ex-demo, has a 4l engine. It was also blown up after he p'exed at TMS and presumably has been back for a rebuild. It's fully loaded with air-con, electric lumbar supports etc. Worth a look!

It didn't "blow up" nubbin. It was rattly top end and had all the latest mods done and some top end work, it only took a week or so and now sounds superb.

I'm amazed it's not sold yet because it's such a unique car....

I can't remember whether I read about the Orange one in Sprint or in here - but I do remember reading about it somewhere. Will have to try and find out - because lairy as it is it has its attractions.

It has never been totally confirmed as far as I remember, but Flashers' car is running either a 4ltr Speed Six engine or a High-tune 3.6ltr Speed Six engine. Think of it as a Tamora S and the forerunner of the T400C as owned by Barefoot and Christof. Suffice to say, it is faster than than any other Tamora I believe.

It's unique in several ways. Firstly it was the only one to be painted in Lamborghini Diablo Orion pearl Yellow paint (it's like a chameleon yellow) Secondly it was the TMS demo car so has a few extras, and thirdly it's got a pretty hot engine. I don't know exactly what but lets just say it's not standard...

It's in mint condition and has all the latest engine mods plus it's had both the 6 and 12K services done.

Like I said, I'm suprised it's still at TMS really...

The stunning Chameleon Orange Tamora at TMS is mine - it's there on s.o.r. until my T350T arrives when TMS take it as p/x. I took it to TMS to keep the miles low and for safety when I was out of the country.

TMS put the 18" anthracite wheels on it - now I've seen it, I wish I'd done it myself - looks fantastic.

Storming car - There's a deal to be had if you're interested.

PS I'm at TMS tomorrow afternoon if that helps.

Friend of mine had a factory tour last week and he said he saw one Cerbera in build and the rest were Tuscans and T350Cs, not a single Tamora apparently

I guess if you can get a new T350C for say £5K extra punters are deciding to go that route?

I also hear that sales figures are up by some 40% which, if it's true, is great news for TVR

So when's the fully convertible T350 coming out (i.e a reskinned Tamora)?

If you want to buy a good Tamora, mines for sale at Clarkes Bromsgrove, 3500 on the clock and not one problem.

They keep the car in the showroom - it looks like new because of the Armourfend (worth it on expensive paint)

I rescued this Tam back from the NL earlier this year and since then have thrown lots of TLC at it, including a new 3.6L engine rebuild. The old one rebuilt by the factory was actually a 3.6L not a 4.0L as stated above. Also had a gearbox rebuild and full suspension overhaul inc Nitrons. Here is a pic after I had it detailed.

Thought I would update the thread after 12 years, is this a record!

Cheers Jon

Just looks fantastic. You have done a great job.

I must admit a Tamora in the Midas Yellow is the only TVR I would give the Sag up for. First one I owned and still a first love.

Thanks, power steering failed so thats being done tomorrow.

For info the colour was a one off special, Lamborghini Orion Yellow very similar to Midas Yellow but looks gold in certain lighting.

Took it out yesterday and the TVRs following loved the noise, although I am still running in so keeping below the 3k rev limit.
