He's performed consistently over the last couple of years. I wouldn't start speculating about fancy gearboxes. That's how these ridiculous rumours start...

Yes consistently halfway down the field, which would be a respectable result (damn site better than I'd do that's for sure) if it weren't for the advantage gained by having a 5 litre engine, traction control and ABS (allegedly)

Very funny, but a "trusted friend" who's seen one isn't any evidence that the car is finished and in production. I've seen a speed twelve, and there were at least 10 ordered. It doesn't mean they built the bloody thing does it?

I don't doubt they are going to eventually build the T350T, I'm just pointing out that as yet the car is not in production, so none of us have any idea when we are going to see one. It really is as simple as that.

This is all becoming rather tiresome and it's a bit like arguing whether Aliens exist or not.

Seeing is believing.....

I'll be at the factory in three weeks, if there are some on the production line at that point then we will all be happy, if not it will be obvious that you are all being led a merry dance.

One final thing, Lotus M250? ring any bells????

There is a fairly endless list of TVRs that haven't made it into full production, most of them from the Wheeler era

How about

Tasmin Turbo (ok a couple were built)
ES (cosworth powered)
Holden Powered Wedges
420 Saloon
Speed Eight
Tuscan Road Car (Tuscan racer shape)
Speed12 Road Car (another one built)
Griffith Speed Six

I'm afraid I agree with Flasher, one car at the factory doesn't make a production model.

edited to say I forgot the Griffith AJP8!!

What I mean is that road cars have been been 'imminent' for about two years now.

You'll have to be content with not having access to the same information that's been supplied to the first T customers then....

Ah but Flasher, if you don't see one, does that mean that they don't exist?
I've never met an Eskimo (not to the best of my knowledge anyway) but I know they exist.....
Besides even if you do see one,(the T350T not the eskimo) you may not let on just to prolong the agony of the like of me eh?

To actually be a T customer, you will have to take delivery of it. There were 'customers' and deposits placed for many of the cars in my list, but they still didn't go into production.

Don't get me wrong I wish you all the best in taking early delivery of your car, but given some of the pictures (mock ups) that have been flying around and the rumoured poor sales of the Tamora, I would have thought that a full convertible maybe on the cards, a little bit of market research may show that the T isn't worth putting into production, as it could end up being the most expensive and least popular variant.

999, I respect the fact that you've been told by TVR to keep quiet about whatever you have been told. They do that to try and prevent debates like this.

I'm not quite sure you telling everyone that you've got a 'secret' is actually very productive for TVR or customers alike.

From what I know they are working on the car and I'm not privvy to any 'secret' info - just what TVR themselves have told me.

That said, we're all best waiting until it hits the showrooms - be that 1/3/6/12 months time.

Oi! I said that in good faith. But I could be wrong, so I'll check.

And anyway, even if its not true its quite a good rumour....

Well, there's just enough hint of info now to suggest that the T is/will be produced and all the info I and others have confirms our personal interest. So really there is no state secret, just some personalised info regarding orders that I don't think anyone wants in the public domain. So it's buggered if you do, buggered if you don't territory.
If someone has a vested interest e.g. a customer with a T on order, then I'll be happy to pass on the details of what I know. My first post in this topic passes on most of that info anyway i.e. that which is not under the public domain ban, but I guess without any other proof, it is insufficient to negate the cynics amongst us.
Me I'm happy to wait til whenever, and I have to be honest when I say that both the factory and the dealers I've used/still use have always given me the bottom line...

Well I've checked and PW is running a sequential box in his Tuscan. Confirmed by two sources. So na na na na na

Edited to say that your very own picture provides further evidence Ted: www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=34698&f=38&h=0

The thing is *999* (and I'm trying not to be pedantic here) you have insisted all along that we know nothing and this car will be on the streets by June and in production by May. With a week to go til May they still haven't produced a single road going T350T and are certainly not producing cars at the factory.

It's not a case of "I told you so" just the reality of TVR being their usual selves and promising cars at the Motor Show at a date they were never going to stick to. They did say Early 2003 when I asked at the Motor Show, and even then I thought "yeah, right"

Hopefully they will announce and reveal the car soon, but I would guess it's going to take at least a further two months before the T350T hits the road, even if they unveil the thing next week.

The list of TVR's that have been "launched" and then "canned" at the Motor Show is endless....
