Hi Folks

Well after 2 weeks of trouble free motoring in my TVR it seems I have come across my first glitch!! But maybe not?

I went to start the car this afternoon and turned the ignition on, the speedo needle did its usuall flick up and down, then the tacho needle did the same but went way past where it usually stops and there was a buzzing noise, then the above warning code came up on the display and when i started the car the tacho needle wasnt working, but the digital tacho readout was working as normal? So I turned the car off and tried again, same thing, tried a couple of more times, then it eventually did work as normal??

Has anyone had this happen before? Any suggestions?

Cheers

Mark

Bit of a resurrection, anyone had this before as I experienced this exact problem while in the south of france? Although it was was error Tacho Zero 134 shown on the dash. Not solely but it generally seemed to be more affected in damp conditions?

You should give Paul Smith a call, who can help to identify the problem behind the problem. http://pselectronicsolutions.co.uk/repairs.html

Paul Smith can explain it properly but its something to do with the flag that the needle/motor uses to determine its zero (resting) point. When it gives the error the needle is not returning to the correct position following the dial sweep on start up.
