Tamora Demonstrators Ready For Testdrives at TVR Dealers

Nick, welcome to the list of Tamora customers!
I think that it's my chasis number that's 1501 and I'm getting the 5th customer car!
Love to see you all on the 1st but I'm still hoping there's an outside chance I've got mine by then!
Especially as someone's coming to see my Chimaera this afternoon!

My Chimaera (4.0L) insurance is with Sunninghill and I've asked for Tamora quotes at various times throughout the year when I've naively thought the Tamora was imminent!
They based the quotes on a Tuscan and came up with £30 more than I currently pay! So that's a brand new Tamora for £30 more than a 4 1/2 year old Chimaera! I never did understand insurance?

I've just noticed that Castel TVR have a Silver Tamora for sale with 50 miles on it for £36,138.31. I did not think there were allowed to sell the demo car and at £460 less than the TVR List price, all seems a bit strange.

Just had a call from the factory - my Tamora'll be ready in 2 weeks!!! Excited or what!
Now if only someone will beat the price that my dealer's offering for my Chimaera it'll be a very good year! (The Giallo Fly Yellow one in the classified ads.)

I am going to Blackpool to see my baby in production on the 1st Feb. Been told it should be painted by then.

Now Iam getting stupidly excited. Anyone going on that day? I am hoping to bring a couple of TVR pals with me and having a night out in Blackpool the night before. All welcome to join us!!

Fantastic news, gb61390!! I'm seriously jealous. As you may have read, my bodyshell will be painted probably next week. What colour have you gone for. I know you've posted it up somewhere, but it's easier to ask you!

Flasher, have you confirmed 1st. Feb. for the factory tour, as I haven't been in contact with the factory today? I will certainly be there.

I've gone for GTS Blue, Charcoal Bison, Anthracite Carpets, Royal Blue Lamonta and Blue Stitching.
I don't think it's adventurous as yours and Flasher's but at least the interiors not all black.
When I spoke to Sue in December I was told Feb/March so if mine's ahead of schedule then maybe yours will be?

Flasher, I would certainly come along, but I'm on call the night before. I'll see you there. Andrew - I hope you're right about the timing, but mine is approx. 25th. in line, and I suspect production won't be more than 5 per week initially. At least the dealer demos are nearly done, and even 5 a week means delivery in mid-Feb!! I'm sooooooo excited!!

Flasher, I've just spoken to Danielle and confirmed 1st. Feb. She thinks both of our cars will be in a fairly advanced state of build, and it will be a good time for us to see them. The chassis' have both been constructed, but she's not sure if they're painted yet. She suggests ringing about a week before we go, to see what state the cars are in. Getting closer!!

Yeah, I will be speaking to the lovely lady in question a week before. I just can't wait now

hopefully this means we will be getting the cars by early March at the latest. Yippeeeee!!!!

Thanks to Pistonheads the Chimaera's just been sold and driven away!
Just 2 weeks of getting the bus to work and then it's Tamora time!
