Five TVR dealerships already now have their Tamora production models for demonstration. The factory are going straight into production over the winter for spring delivery. £3650 is needed as deposit to do so.

So who are they? I know that the TVR Centre, TMS and HHC have theirs. When will the rest get theirs?
I spoke to the factory yesterday and was told that they're completing 2 a week at the moment.
I was told that mine's in-build and that I'm getting the 5th customer car but not to expect it until Feb/Mar!
What will they be doing in between? There's not that many dealers are there?
Cheers..... Andrew

Many thanks to the guys at Mole Valley for taking me out in their silver Tamora demo over Christmas.

What a fantastic car. It beats the bits of a Porsche Boxster and has the most beautiful noise....

Go down there and see Spencer. He'll get you out there.

Makes me pine for them to arrive in the US EVEN MORE if that's at all possible.

Hi people, over the xmas so called holiday( as I've beeen working the majority of it!!) I have been trying to sort out the dilema that Fernhurst had left me in. Just to say that Mole valley are the boys fro me, all have shown me courteousy and the patients that a situation like this would delivery. This Saturday me and the wife(for the colours of course!!) shall be going for me test drives in the silver buzz bomb, and putting in our final spec again!! hopefully this time it shall go ok.

The tamora will be a more enjoyable drive Saturday a sthe 1000 ml service has been done.To open here up will be great. Anyone seen the Auto express slating of it up against the Boxster and Morgan Aero 8.It came last wqith comments like "it's a bit of a handful in the wet", it was something like that. No wonder the porsche won!!!

Saw a rather smart deep red Tamora in the window of King's TVR in Leamington Spa. Went in to have a look but they couldn't open the driver's door because the servo had failed. Oh dear ...

Can't wait to have a test drive though.

Henley Heritage have theirs as well. Cream Yellow colour with a completely blue interior.

Does look rather special and I am somewhat kicking myself since seeing it.

I'm not!! I think it looks complete pants in that colour!! I'm still glad mine is silver/grey pearl.

When you say spring delivery jamer, what is your definition of spring??

Its not the colour I would choose either, but having just bought a new Chim 450 and then seeing the Tamora, that is the reason for me kicking myself.

If it was me I would go for something a little more special than a 'flat' colour.

Matt.

Happy New Year, all! Flasher, I've done the deed and changed my spec. to another mysterious, un-named colour. I reckon it will suit the car a lot better than my previous choice, and I'm itching to get my car now that Christmas is over!

Hi Guys,
I've not posted to this list before but did mail Flasher yesterday, thanks for your reply and pictures. I'm going to come out of the closet as another person with a deposit on a Tomara. I've got a delivery date of ASAP !!! The last 4 digits of my Chassis No. are 1089, they tie up with the "Build No" on the TVR Build Acknowledgement that my dealer gave me. When I was at the factory early November I was told March delivery and according to the dealer the car is down to be painted the 3rd week in Jan. So we will just have to wait and see. I also asked how many orders the factory had taken but Sue Stoker never gave me a straight answer.........
Cheers
Nick

I'm not too convinced about these Chassis / Build numbers. They don't seem to run in a very strict order. I'm sure I saw a post the other day where someone said they had 1501 but were still expecting the car in March. Oh, well it is TVR. I'm not expecting to see my car much before May. That way if it turns up before it will be a nice surprise. As this is my first new TVR (4 used ones before) I was just wondering what the factory do about "in build" visits. When I was up there I said to Sue that I wanted to go back to see the car in production. Do they normally ring you at the appropriate time or do you have to keep hassling them ?
Cheers,
Nick

No, Nick, it's a secret, (how childish!!) although it is a colour used on quite a few Tuscans, which is where I originally saw it. I've just spoken to Sue Stoker, and they only just managed to catch my bodyshell just before it was painted, and change the colour! Phew!! The bodies, it seems, are painted well in advance, and the rate limiting step seems to be trim materials. I am booking a factory visit on 1st. Feb., when I next have a day off, and I've left a message on Danielle's voice mail, so if you fancy joining me for a tour on that date, it'll be nice to meet another Tamora punter or two. Flasher, if you fancy the same date, it may well be about right for all of our cars to be in some stage of the build process. Danielle takes a max. of about 5-6 for each tour, and I'll be on my own, so whatever you like.

I thought the Factory was shut down until Monday ?
I'm still trying to get my colour sorted / matched. I'm now a bid worried they might have painted it in my "Backup" colour already !!!!
I was looking at going up some time in Feb so why not the 1st. I'll check with Sue or Danille to see what shape my car will be in then.
Cheers,
Nick

I reckon insurance companies will look towards Tuscan levels of premiums - or possibly Griff 500. Similar power outputs etc.
