Hi Rob, welcome to the Tamora forum. I have had a Tamora for the past 12 months and insured it through Sunninghill (via Royal & Sun All), they did not insist on a Tracker being fitted, and also were one of the most competitive quotes, and the policy also included trackday cover. I would certainly give them a call.
With regards to breakdown cover. All new TVR's come with full AA membership for the first 12 months, so shouldn't have any worries there.
Anyway, I am sure that you would not need to call upon their services
The Tamora is a fantastic car, it is very useable day to day and is very easy to drive, but also has the ability to attack you senses if so desired
You will not be disappointed, that I guarantee
What colour an spec have you ordered

Thanks very much for your response.

Its 2002 registered in Camel Yellow with black lamonte interior. So I assume the standard spec but boy it feels good !
Even the wife wants to get her hands on it and my daughter wanted to know if I had covered her on the insurance (21 yrs old)!

Can't wait to collect her.

I insured through Sunninghill, the same as Nigel. When I renewed this year, I also took out their option to include full breakdown cover, (can't remember if it was with RAC or AA). My premium with protected no claims and the breakdown cover was £700, which I thought was pretty reasonable, (also includes track day cover).

Enjoy the new car!

You get AA cover with a new TVR and they are fantastic although you can't use it for another car like full AA cover.

I have only called them once for a split coolant hose.

RAC in my experience are not so good.

My Tamora cost £850 to insure with Norwich Union. That's without protected no claims due to a couple of moments with the Chimaera. Whilst they may not be rock bottom price wise, they provided excellent claims service, which may be important. No repair quotes, just a truck turning up and ferry the car to Ewelme. Very easy and no aggravation.
