As you may know from previous threads, I had a Targa on order. I originally ordered the Coupe at the motorshow, and then changed the order to the Targa.
However, having seen the final version,I have changed back to the Coupe, I just do not like the way they have done the panels, it just seems to have been overstyled to me. Anyway, that is just my own thoughts, and I am sure it will be a success.
As it has effectively two sunroofs cut into the roof, would it not be a more cost effective and a better looking option to have a Webasto style Sunroof, like those that were fitted to the MGBGT. I had a 1966 MGBGT many years ago which had a Webasto fitted, and it worked a treat.
There would be no panels to store, and would surely cost a lot less to install than the £2K for the targa option, and would also keep that georgeous looking flowing roof line.
I presumme that there are still companies out there that would fit this type of sunroof.
Would this be viable? as there would still be plenty of room within the rollbar to cut one in.

I feel the same way as you, the roof panels look like jeans pockets. Not very pleasing to my eye.

I like the idea of the material roof, they can put them on the C3 so a simple version like the 3000M one would be great.

It must be cheaper to and a lot easier to open & close.

I will wait a bit longer before placing my order, but what ever the T350 is the best looking car built yet to my eye.

Well I struggle to imagine a cloth 'panel' on the T350 or indeed a third party sunroof....

Guaranteed IMO to lose you a large amount of value in a very short space of time.

My opinion of course.. oh and you need to see the panels in the flesh....

I think you have to put the T350C into context i.e. a car "designed" for speeds of up to 175 mph. The MGBGT on the other hand was not designed for much more than the ton. I had an MGCGT with said Webasto roof and to be honest with it closed it the canvas smacked and it vibrated at much over 100, yes it was good to have a little sunshine in the cabin but personally I think it would be out of context with a 175mph Sports GT. All IMO of course Rich...

I had a webasto on my 1600m, that was fine at 110+ or whatever it would do. Mind you the car had so may rattles I doubt I would have noticed.

Of course you could just go for A/C

Thanks for the replies guys.
davidd, A/C is OK but you are enclosed in the car, No fresh air comming in
Nubbin, just swapped my tamora for the T350.
Have just booked the factory tour for 8th September, the week after it comes out of the spray booth. I always thank that once the factory tour is fixed, it is becomming very much closer to reality, and the excitement levels start to increase
Its when everyone keeps asking you what you are grinning about, and then look at you as if you had 2 heads when you tell them, its because you are awaiting delivery of a new car

I must say that my old 3000M did over 120 MPH on the German motorway thing on the way to the 'Ring twice, the speedo was reading over 135, but then its not that quick.
The webasto roof was open on both trips and I never had any trouble from it, just the wife going mad shouting for me to slow down!!!
My witness can confirm this speed and would probalbly add a few words to discribe the speed record attempts.
Any way, I am looking forward to see a T in the flesh very soon, it could well be the dogs b***s
