Yeah but even the Donkeys on Blackpool beach would have 2bhp if TVR measured them

The speed six engines seem to be actually producing the bhp figures stated (when they run), unlike the AJP 8 and V8 dream figures...

Reason I ask is I was looking at replacing my Tuscan RR and a 400 bhp pack would be nice as I have 380+ now!

Talk to Joolz Raceboy, because he's had them on the dyno....and I think you'll find your talking out of your "Ass" on this one.....

The donkeys have been dyno'ed, and average out at 1.6 bdp (braying donkey power), as long as there's an offshore breeze. Mind you they ruin the aerodynamics by sticking thier ears up through their straw hats.

If you were h**g like a donkey you wouldn't worry about BHP - drivers who get obsessed with BHP tend to be 'trouser department' challenged!

You can get a Red Rose conversion for the Tamora. I think it gives you the 400 BHP along with break and suspension upgrades. Have a word with your dealer or the factory for details. I think it's in the region of £4K.

Cheers

It's not a 400 BHP conversion though (Red Rose usually gives 20-25hp more). That's why I have asked if the 400 is avaliable from the 3.6 engine.

It is from the 4.0 as this is what is going into the Tuscan S. I did wonder if 400 BHP was avliable from the 3.6, cos if it was what's the point of making the 4.0ltr speed six in the Tuscan S if you get it from a 3.6?

Still I'd lurveeeeeeee a Tamora rocket ship to keep up with my Tuscan RR, (which I think has to go now )

I thought the Tamora/T350 conversion took it to 390 from a 3.6...

No No No No.......

T350 400bhp performance pack retains the 3.6 engine...
TVR will not - I asked - fit the Tuscan S engine into the T350 and probably not into the Tamora either.

I know 'cos I've got one!

There is already a Tamora out there with a Tuscan S motor, so they most definately will do it!

So why do TVR make a 4.0 400hp engine and a 3.6 400hp engine?

Any true variations here?

They did it once to my knowledge, it's not an option that's listed, whereas the 400bhp for the T350 is.
