For the sake of the less bored people who may be interested in what the "Red Rose" package actually consists of I will call my dealer tomorrow and post the results. Of course you could always save me the hassle and just give us the complete details yourself.

Your attitude is similar to the ones I encountered when the T threads first started. I am not employed by TVR, neither are you. Marketing is their responsibility and you should not interfere. You do not know why the exact package details have have not been put in the public domain and there is good reason for that - single type vehicle approval regs.
Now as far as I'm concerned, if you go to your dealer get the info and I mean all the info and you post it into the public domain, you are being crassly irresponsible.

And it is is not a Red Rose conversion - nothing of the sort!

If this is not in the public domain and should not be divulged how come the dealers know, YOU know plus others on this forum.

I just spoke to my dealer about this and effectively the upgrade makes the car similar to what will be the racing spec T350R which was announced at last years motor show last October.

Details of the upgrade as follows :-

Tuscan S brakes
New big bore exhaust
Uprated engine to around 390 BHP
And a lightened body.

Cost is around the 4k region.

That's amazing - you lose any respect for that, I just told you above why it's not in the public domain:

S I N G L E V E H I C L E T Y P E A P P R O V A L.

I sincerely hope that the major difference you've now divulged does not cause TVR problems with the DoT, because that is their concern and that's what i discussed with them on Friday.

SVTA's can cause small car manufacturers lots of problems and cost loads of money. Any small tweaks - engine power, brakes etc can be accomodated. Start changing construction methods and materials and you could be stuffed.

Well done! You should give yourself a huge pat on the back! Could you let me have your name and address so I know whom do I need to send the bill to when as a result of this I have to get SVTA for my car then?

So if you are not allowed to alter the body before being called in front of SVTA how did they do it with the Cerbera LW?

Been thinking.

Why have the conversion?

I've never managed to cook the brakes. (maybe I'm too old)
The exhaust is loud enough thanks.(ditto)
I'd prefer more torque lower down. (somebody famous said bhp=top speed and torque=faster acceleration)
It's too light at high speed now. (need a fat girlfriend)
They haven't altered the suspension.

More is not always better. Discuss.

BTW- I understand the factory has received requests to increase the drivers side footwell to accommodate the owners larger tackle.

The red rose package consits of a 375BPH engine with the sports exhuast (large board as Tivester stated) and Tuscan S brakes. I have this from the factory! cost £4k.

I will (hopefully) be ordering one in a couple of weeks!.

Also the 375bph is the engine in the T350 upgrade package, again, direct from the factory's mouth.

Now thats 375, not 380 not 390 and not 400, but 375BHP!

No name - no pack drill, but the factory told me on Friday T350 performance pack = 380BHP - skimmed heads, remapped ignition - so who are we to believe

It's not about being not allowed, it's about being caught out... so they don't make a song and dance about it, until it's been in existence for a while..
