Hi all,
Further help or suggestions would be gratefully received on this topic as the new cars seem to have a very different set of foibles to the cars I had up until 4 years ago. After the initial problem of very high temps & the fans not bringing them down the first two weeks of Tamora ownership was kindly spent with the dealer Tuscan demonstrator. Stonk'n was subsequently returned &, apart from a couple of little things & a slight oil leak, it performed faultlessly. The problem was air trapped in the rads & once bled the fans came on at 90 & temps never went above 95.
HOWEVER, the temp at which the fan comes on has now risen to 93 ish & it can get close to the 100 level before coming down to 92/3/4. Thus I am wondering if air is getting back into the system? I know the sensors can vary & thus the readouts but these temps are repeated consistently & they are rising!
Is there a history of air leaks ? The car is going in for a few odd things in two weeks together with another check on the rads but it would be nice to have some ideas if anybody has had similar experiences.
Thanks in advance.

I had a similar problem where water was got into the temperature sensor (it's different sensor on the Tuscan at least to the readout sensor) causing the fans to come on at higher temperatures, then to stay on all the time, then to never come on!!!!

Cheers,

Andy.
