Going down to one of the above named dealerships a week on saturday to book my slot for a T350T.

Both dealers are about equidistant from me in east London, so wondering if any of you have any pertinent feedback to help me make the decission.

Seen many a mention of Castle, I guess both good and bad, but nothing on Walldonway.

Thanks all.

Anyone replying to this request, please do so without conflicting with Ted's naming and shaming policy, ot the thread will have to be closed. Thanks

Cant recommend either dealership for best services but have just come back to work after a lunchtime browse around The TVR Centre in Barnet, they have 2 T350targa's on site, 1 apparently is going to be their new demo, should be available to drive soon they have said. They do look the dogs!!! 1 in blue, the other is chameleon orange. (looks better than its sounds).

Thanks. hadn't thought of going with them. Probably closer than the other 2 but much nastier journey across London. Might nip round to check out their wares though

Well I can only comment about Castle TVR as bought my new Tuscan S from them March'03. Think anyone who has dealt with them agree that they do put the customer first and I would highly recommend them. They even have Michael Caine as one of the Salesmen (the TVR Le Man driver) so if your lucky you could take a test drive with him....I'm sure you wouldn't forget it

Ask for either Ian or Michael when you call them.

I've been to both

Walldonway were good with realigning my boot, and checking for possible blowing gaskets/ ac regas.
They were really helpful when I couldn't get the car to start (fuse link).

The only down side is that they were a bit expensive.

I go to Castle now as they are equally as good and I found them to be a little bit cheaper.

I used Walldonway when I lived in the area. They did quite a few bits and pieces after i bought the car. They're a friendly bunch, happy to talk through what they're doing and why, plus they saved my arse when the Chim was sulking in the middle of France ... me on phone to Walldonway while trying to translate for a French mechanic (who has his nose buried in SHpub's bible Mk1). Not bad at all. But ...

My usual gripes about ALMOST ANY car shop are:
1) not cheap
2) don't keep you up to date with what is going on unless you phone them (including increasng the bill coz they do extra, small jobs without asking first)
3) attention to detail is not 100% ... stupid little things like not putting the ECU back behind the panel in the footwell, or remebering to order touch-up paint, or wiping off a foot print on a seat.

Some of these gripes apply to Walldonway to some extent.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

Turns out that Michael at Castle is a friend of a friend through Cateram racing. He has given tuituion to my mate a couple of times. So, given the connection I will probably go with them.

Now starts the long wait ....
