Yes the alloy sills were a factory option last year when I bought my car. The white stitching I think only comes on the leather steering wheel option. Whilst I have half alcantara seats I didnt like the feel on alcantara on my hands all the time and so opted for leather. Its a nice little bonus that you get the double stitch at the top as it all adds to the track-racer-GT3 feel of the car.

I have the leather steering wheel as well, and white stitching on the seats and elsewhere. I agree that the white ring at the top of the steering wheel does give the car a nice race car feel to it. I'd look into replacing my stitching or wheel with the dealer if I didn't already know they would charge me a fortune for it.

Considering a new wheel is over $1K US, it seems like a lot to pay for a little bit of white stitching.

This got me in a whole world of difficulty when I first drove my Le Mans - press button to release brake, lift slightly then wonder why it wouldn't drop. So press button even harder and lift even further. Still no drop. All the time the handbrake was getting further on.
From the DB7 Aston have adopted the usual press-to-release handbrake, although the lever drops back flat when applied to stop it getting in the way of the door opening. Ah. I'd thought the way the current range (and my old 355) is set up was "fly off". Evidently not. The V8 ratchets to the top (was always taught to press the button in to avoid ratcheting) then the lever drops back flat to the floor. To release you lift the lever until you feel resistance, press the button and drop the lever back.

Update from the factory! "Planned Online Date” of 01/09/2011 So they will start building it 1st week after the August shutdown!

Anyone on here catch Entourage this week on Sky Atlantic HD ? One of the main characters has been running around in a DB9 Volante in previous series, this has now been replaced by a brand new Vantage S Roadster - very well suited to the Hollywood setting

I don't know specifically abou the Aston ones but beam wipers in general refer to the type of blade Fewer pieces, less noise, better contact with the glass, better 'aero' i.e. doesnt lift as easily at speed, basically.....better. They also look a touch 'cleaner'. The garmin sat nav being on your new one mikey is a real bonus Suspect it is not commerically practical to retrofit unfortunately. I'll have one of the few S roadsters with the older style sat nav from the sound of it.......

I did contemplate asking! I'd wish I'd suggested a tme lapse camera on it taking a picture every minute over the build That would be really interesting
