And?
Ahmed is probably more British than you or me.
Oh yeah, sounds really stereotypical British Ahmed is probably more British than you or me.
If I'd just forked out £100k+ and got that I'd be unhappy. I'd want a traditional British built car to have every detail being traditionally British... Anyway each to their own and all that...

Really? A car, designed for an American corporation, with an engine built in Germany, with brakes from Italy and tyres from Japan? If I'd just forked out £100k+ and got that I'd be unhappy. FFS, you really are a knob.

A bit late to the conversation. Had to laugh at a guy being disappointed with an inspection plate by someone obviously not of Ye Olde English blood. And yet ... when my mother was dying I asked for a Catholic priest to come and give her last rites, and they sent a lovely priest who had the THICKEST Vietnamese accent, and I was so disappointed. I swear I was tempted to call the diocese and ask for a do-over. My mom was from Ireland and there's no shortage of Irish priests, right?
I didn't do it but I was so tempted.
I wonder whether, as she slipped away, she even noticed...

Hi Marina, and welcome to Pistonheads.I didn't do it but I was so tempted.

Probably one of the strangest first posts I have seen.
Also not very sure what "the THICKEST Vietnamese Accent" sounds like
My V12V was inspected by Ahmed which I would happily point out with some pride. We have always been great at attracting the very best from the various skill sets from all over the world. I was at the factory only yesterday and it's clear that Aston Martin isn't afraid of using whatever resource is available, no matter where it's from. From engines built in Germany to Scottish leather, Swedish electrical components, etc. and even the robot that bonds the chassis is made by Kawasaki.
The trick is in bringing all this together to make the fabulous cars we drive what they are - and Aston Martin do it exceptionally well.
Football is a game derived in England, but who would be best: an England 11 or a world 11? But it's still football!
I don't find the comment about Ahmed Munir doing the final inspection offensive, just naive.

It doesn't matter who did the final inspection on many of the cars I see, as I'm tempted to cross the name out and write Stevie wonder there instead. At one point, I thought certain names on here had got severe hay fever , such was the fit of the panels etc.
I wonder if Mr Hall could do me a new inspection plate V12Vanquish said:
Stevie must have done all of mine, that's why I'm very unlikely to have any more.
Strange and sad that they are indeed getting worse. There is no way I would put my name to some of these cars. However, it's just a stuck-on mass-produced nameplate, I doubt Barry, Ahmed or whoever actually looks at the car in any detail. Such are the shockers that roll out that it's impossible to call what has gone on an inspection.

Bravo73, The name "Munir" is not a traditional British name and will have had little prominence as a British name anything more than 30-40 years maximum and probably a lot less.
I hope that you are critiquing my critic of the traditionality of the name rather than in some way implying something more sinister?
