Gordon Darroch checked off our Vantage S - wink
Just checked my Vantage S and I think Mr Gordon Darroch must have done a job lot :-))
Have returned from a factory tour organised by my dealer Grange at Welwyn. I would recommend this it is both informative and gives a great insight in how the cars are screwed together..
After visiting all the departments and the foal build poduction line ( all models are on the same line ). We arrived at the final inspection ares where all Aston get their wings and inspection placque. Our guide Sally asked if we knew who had done our final inspection and we both replied Gordon Darroch and with that she took us over to his station and introduced us , so all the inspectors are all real people.

My final inspection is also by this chap, much to the apparent amusement of anyone that spots it.

I've grown to quite like Mr Munir - certainly did a good job with mine biglaugh

So you have just forked out on a brand new Aston......

You are in the pub and its bragging rights time.....

Your mates think your a plonker cos you should have bought Porsche, Fezza or Audi....

No. you stuck to buying a great hand-made, British made Aston, with a century of skill and knowledge passed down the generations. The quintessential British automobile......

You show then the fine lines of the exterior....

Then the exquisite interior of a proper gentlemans car.....

You start it up, and with the roar, your mates are indeed very impressed.

Then one asks.....go on then, let's see the engine.....and you do.

Then at the peak of British pride with superlative design and engineering of the home-grown definitive GT they see.....

Thanks for resurrecting this thread. My cars final inspection was done by Mr Matt Robins and on a recent factory tour I happened to mention it at the inspection area and Matt was standing right in front of me, so it was good to meet him in the flesh! Apparently, you can request an inspector of your choice if you want a certain person to do it.

Sounds interesting, I didn't know you could specifically request a certain person!

idea We should make a list here of all the possible inspectors and then vote/make a note of which ones didn't quite do a thorough job people know who to request and who to avoid!
