Andrew Byrne on a 2016 V12VS. Seems like he did a pretty good job, except for the misaligned driver's side window which will, I swear, finally get fixed before the warranty is out.
Yep, Andrew Byrne did mine too! 2017 V8VS.

That must have been prior to appointing himself, 'President and CEO'.

were these first applied on the 'Gaydon' cars - or was it some other point of time - as I don't think the DB7 had it - so I was wondering if it first came in with the DB9 ?

On my 2013 V8S, it was an pre-release model of the SP10. It was for a few brief months 'the only' manual gearbox V8S on the road before the SP10 then came out. I remember being very disappointed to note it was missing the inspection plate entirely! Grange Welwyn soon rectified that with a Barry Griffin badge but who really knows who did it, if indeed anyone did. They forgot to put a plaque on, so how good could the inspection ever have been! Anyhow, the car was always fine, no issues.

My current V12V was inspected by the hotly discussed Ahmed Munir. No issues!
My manual 2013 V8S was inspected by Barry Griffin so Grange may have supplied the correct badge.

Started to add plates to the later DB7 i6 and then DB7 Vantage cars. Newport Pagnell V8s had the engine builder name on the engine.

Did the CEO inspection plate only come on the Launch Editions or was it an optional extra? My Vantage has it and was just wondering how rare those plates are.

Andy Palmer personally signed off the first production batch of vehicles so the plate isn't an option; it shows the car was one of the first off the line. And it wasn't a gimmick - he really did go down on the line to personally inspect each one.

I know that Andy signed off the first 1000 DB11's so I assume (but don't know) he signed the same number of new Vantages

Mine was done by Ann Heaney. I don’t think I’ve seen her name pop up in this thread before.

As you know Ashley, the N430 is a Special Edition.

Is your N430 logo perhaps on the metal sill plate?
If you wish, please post a photo of the logo, and I can add a note to my list of 'LIMITED EDITIONS AND SPECIAL EDITIONS'.

Thank you.

I believe he was being sarcastic, I started the "no name on my N420/N430 plate". smile
