So who did your 'Final Inspection'?
Discussion
Last time I was in Gaydon, I actually met Barry Griffin in person!
(he did my V12 Vantage).

I asked to meet Barry, who inspected my V8 and V12 Vantage, when I visited Gaydon. Apparently he was working on the One-77. Top man, clearly (he did my V12 Vantage).

So you have just forked out on a brand new Aston......
You are in the pub and its bragging rights time.....
Your mates think your a plonker cos you should have bought Porsche, Fezza or Audi....
No. you stuck to buying a great hand-made, British made Aston, with a century of skill and knowledge passed down the generations. The quintessential British automobile......
You show then the fine lines of the exterior....
Then the exquisite interior of a proper gentlemans car.....
You start it up, and with the roar, your mates are indeed very impressed.
Then one asks.....go on then, let's see the engine.....and you do.
Then at the peak of British pride with superlative design and engineering of the home-grown definitive GT they see.....

Bravo73, The name "Munir" is not a traditional British name and will have had little prominence as a British name anything more than 30-40 years maximum and probably a lot less.
I hope that you are critiquing my critic of the traditionality of the name rather than in some way implying something more sinister?

And?
Ahmed is probably more British than you or me.
You miss the point, I think.Ahmed is probably more British than you or me.
If I were buying an AMG, the name on the engine build plate should be Germanic, and if a Lexus LFA, then Japanese, and on an Aston, British in derivation. I have nothing personal against Ahmed, and I'm sure he is a worthy inspector of Astons, but it looks out of place.
