The Definitive Guide to Gaydon-era ASTON MARTIN
Discussion
Thanks all for your kind comments, much appreciated. It certainly isn't perfect, but I have tried to cover all aspects of these wonderful cars and I do hope it will also help potential new owners find the right car and join the fold. This will be my third automotive book, the other two are Ultimate Buyer's Guides from PMM motor books, covering 996 and 997 series 911's - it's sad car addiction thing!
This is the first time I have included owners cars and a specialist's (Rick DMS) view, so thanks again for your input [Rick/Bogie (with that smile !)/Lady Topaz/Michael Gould/ Clorenzen/ Simon from 6th gear/Evo and some of the AMOC guys etc) it adds extra "real" insight into living with and owning the cars.

Just received the book.
Many congratulations, I think you have done a wonderful job in producing a comprehensive guide to the Gaydon era cars.
The second paragraph of your introduction absolutely sums up ownership and love of the marque.
I have only had a quick look through but I am very impressed so far and I am sure the book will soon be well worn and used.

In celebration of that now famous grin and the fact that Mark (Bogie) was first to contribute to the book and this thread I have uploaded his page - only for Pistonheaders others can't see the link on the site ( www.astonmartinreview.co.uk ) - you just need to follow this link -
http://astonmartinreview.co.uk//Bogie.pdf - a man that really uses his Aston
If you want any others (a page of Ricks etc) let me know, but I don't want to get mauled for mentioning the book, so will only do that on request.

I got my book in a couple of weeks ago and it's wonderful. The only problem is the binding keeps the book from staying open! The information is very useful and timely and the pictures are very nice. I have learned a lot.
BTW Right now I have been walking around with my iPad and the Aston book. It's silly to have this be a printed book only in this day and age. Amazon reports they now sell more books in Kindle format than all printed book sales combined. If you decide to offer the book in Kindle or Apple iBooks format, I will buy it again, just to have it in electronic format.

I for one use kindle all the time I have it on my android phone and my laptop, a kindle version is a great idea,BTW Right now I have been walking around with my iPad and the Aston book. Thanks Brummer,Karl & DB7 Pilot for the feedback, glad you like the book.
Is it right that Kindle can also only reproduce mono images? If so, do you think it would work with only smaller mono images or just text? Interested in your views.

Rick - Karl - on the subject of Kindle............. Personally I still like the feel of a real book (surely you don't take your tech to the throne with you? ) but I have looked at this, in honesty I'm not sure that the book would work in that format as it is very image rich. It could work in PDF format, but I believe Kindle needs to revamp the layout completely in order to make it work Is it right that Kindle can also only reproduce mono images?
