Thanks Chris, although far from perfect ...we have tried to provide as much detail as possible so the guide can be used as an ongoing reference for owners as well as buyers, the first edition's 246 pages has grown to 312 for the 12.5 guide.... give it another couple of years and you will need a weight training course to pick up the book... ah great thought Aston Martin guide and exercise book!
Joking aside thanks for the feedback appreciated
Grant, well the detail is excellent - confirmed the MY I was looking for.. And now job done, DB9 bought !Joking aside thanks for the feedback appreciated
Now planning the 2017 road trip..

I bought this book a year ago when I first started seriously planning to buy a DB9, and it is now well-thumbed a year later, and I have an absolutely perfect 2009 DB9 in my garage. The information and advice in there was invaluable in narrowing down my focus. Thanks Grant!

Well Grant, you did it! After 3 years of deliberation, one stalled V8V deposit a few years ago, I have just fully paid up for a lovely clean - if "base spec" - black V8V from AM Bristol, Dick Lovett. Your book had become my bedside reading for the past week+ and it really helped align all the guesswork I'd made over the past few years pawing through Autotrader's app.
It's such a detailed labour of love, it helped my decide the big question; whether to shell out another £15k for a manual S or stick with a standard 4.7 manual. Finally, decided upon the standard as the book made me realise many of the advantages of the V8VS had found its way to the standard 4.7 by the 2014 (the year of mine-to-be) following the 2012.25MY update. The better steering rack, ducktail spoiler and improved brakes all won it. I don't think I'd have pieced all this together without the book.
So thank you! Keep up the great work
Hopefully picking up next week depending on the diary. But very excited! Never had more than 4 cylinders to propel me (and as the first one was a Fiat, 4 cylinders was often wishful thinking...). Photos in the relevant post to follow when keys are in grubby mitts.

Thanks Ian, LondonBabe, Steve & NIck, I really appreciate the feedback - it's also great to hear that the guide has helped you (London & Nick) find the right Aston, they are special cars - which now makes you special by association
Do pop up an image (in this thread) of your new steeds when you get the chance.
PS - Nick - I hope all goes well with your hand-over this week.

Black is the theme of the day! Today was an experience I've been waiting for for ten years. It all came true with a 2014 V8 Vantage in black with yellow highlights (callipers and stitching) to help lift it a little. With just over 10k miles on the clock, it was obviously very cared-for by its previous owners.
I'll post more on the relevant thread, but Grant3, I must repeat that your book really helped. It's only been less than 24hrs, but I am thankful now that I held off from the V8S as the "comfort" suspension is just that, but without any loss of control and feedback for my very base skill level. After all, this is my first non-4pot banger!
Steve - yes the grille is from a V12VS and the special coloured carbon finish on the vents and wing mirrors would have cost a good few £££
Nick - fabulous the latest Vantage really does look special in the darker hues - having seen a few black cars with the yellow stitching and calipers, I agree this combination looks superb - nice find. Glad to know the guide helped you find this beauty I look forward to seeing more images in the main forum, including the interior

Thanks Grant! I've dug some of the dealer's advert images out and put them on the thread I started last night...

Grant, I want to thank you for an amazing book. I bought an absolutely cracking DB9 because of it. I knew exactly what the pitfalls were, and fell into none!
Bravo!
Great to hear the guide helped you find that beauty James (I agree with Nick) and thanks for the post and photo. Looks like you also have the Sportspack option (or at least the wheels which look fab). I hope you are enjoying the Aston ownership experience Bravo!
