What Happened to Quinny

Removed his car from the roll call, changed his profile picture - no Aston
Used to enjoy his posts, even the picture heavy ones.
Had lots of enginering knowledge, and generally joined in the banter on here.
So anyone know what happened to him?

Not sure. Last week in a thread about autos v manual he put a post about autos being for disabled people only, I put a reply NOT FUNNY then all of a sudden both posts were removed. I hope this hasn't got anything to do with his "disappearance".

Saw the end of that thread, but didn't know what it was all about.

Still could be worse, been told by someone sat not a million miles from me that this thread marks me out as a ghey stalker

He posted exactly what he thought - that as he is a disabled person he felt perfectly able to say what he did and if this caused an issue then he was off.

I guess that's the same way Jewish folks crack Jewish jokes and so on...

Personally I think all is fair in love and war and people need to be a bit tougher and not be so over sensitive on behalf of some group or another.

Along with all the genuine help, this is such a refreshing lighthearted forum where we all generally play nicely without the malice on others I've seen.

I hope Quinny will return.

I feel really guilty now. I only put my NOT FUNNY comment because I have a very good friend who has diabetes and due to complications had to have first his toe, then his foot and then a lower leg amputated. He is still driving but obviously only an automatic. I was unaware of Quinny's own situation so if I caused offence it was unintentional and I apologise unreservedly both to Quinny and to all on this forum.

Imo, it was a bit OTT removing comments / giving Quinny a warning or whatever they did, for a comment clearly made completely tongue in cheek. PC gone mad.

Doh! By the time we read this it was too late to make it there in time! Hope you guys had a blast. Let us know if/when you are doing it again. Hope Quinny is doing OK and not too miffed about past events - at least he knows he's been missed!!
