Gaydon - factory tour?

Quite a few last-minute drop outs for the last one, people either forget they have added themselves and have to work, don;t post on PH any more or just do it I assume to annoy me. I can always ask AML if they will do another one but someone else can take over organising it! Like I say, it's time consuming doing lists and chasing people who are reluctant to give their real names for whatever reason
I know how you feel. Got 35 people saying they are attending the watch gathering and with organising three venues, lunch menu choices and things to see it gets to be a full time job. And then people drop out!v8woollie said:

I won't be dropping out if that helps. Popping to Bond Street later to look at an AMVOX2 I have seen out of interest...Mrs Yeti said that she hopes this isn't the sign of things to come, she doesn't want to become a car AND watch widow

Are you going to the JLC boutique? Mrs Yeti would love a Squadra Duetto Mrs Yeti said that she hopes this isn't the sign of things to come, she doesn't want to become a car AND watch widow
The Amvox 2 is one of my favourites - currently at the Le Sentier spa

Which one? A DB9 Transponder? I can't help but think that opening your car with your watch could make you look a bit of a cock once the novelty wore off The DBS Chronograph in platinum/titanium is my favourite

Always loved that concept. Someone on the street nicks your watch and they get tour Aston as a bonus gift. Magic The DBS Chronograph in platinum/titanium is my favourite

Just had a thought. I need to drop some things into the lunch venue and could do that this afternoon. What time are you going to be in Bond Street. Impromptu glass of chilled Chablis opportunity (we are so refined in the South) Mrs Yeti said that she hopes this isn't the sign of things to come, she doesn't want to become a car AND watch widow

I will be meeting some colleagues and former colleagues for our bi-weekly dinner club in the evening, we usually assemble at Fortnum and Mason for a Macciato and a glass of champagne before the evening starts. So I wil probably leave the Chiswick office around 3:45-4 and be at Green Park by 4:30-4:40 or so. 74 Bond St is where I am going, need to see if he'll trade my current AMVOX and one of my Brietlings I don't wear. If not, i have no spare cash, BR took it all Georgio, it's an early AMVOX 2, want it for the vertical trigger movement, plus it's a rather nice PVD coated titanium. I am happy to open my car with a key fob
Anyone want a Titanium AMVOX 1?

I wish I had gone for the PVD Amvox 2 but decided to go with the steel instead.
Great stop/start mechanism although not the most accurate chronograph ever made. Check that the white dials line up with the black arrow markers when the chrono is reset to zero. I've seen some that were slightly off.
I won't intrude on your plans so good luck with the deal. It is a nice unique chrono to own.

Yes please! I just have a lack of funds to purchase it at the minute - hotels in Singapore during GP week are seriously expensive When are you selling your VR6 too?
Handy if anyone needs to know the time.

Also Yeti, do you have my details, I did supply the to John when I first put my name on the list ?
The list as it stands today 2 May, copied from a few pages back. As ever, the same plea - please don't bring bored partners/+1s unless they want to actually see the factory. It's pretty dry stuff, it's a car factory Every bored partner is another Aston owner that can't go. However, if your +1 is as car mad as you, then fantastic!

Factory tourers, have just noticed Bamford Rose have invited people to their premises again for after the 11 May tour! Post from Mike below. Please add your names to the Bamford Rose open day thread http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... so they can get an idea of numbers. My car will be there but I might be unable to attend this time...
From Mike:
For those that made it across to BR after the factory tour on the 27th, it was a pleasure to see you all.
A really fun afternoon...!
It was great to put names to some faces we had not seen before.
Not just was a good laugh had by all but we raised a few hundred notes for help for heros too
And despite reportedly frowning when I proved his rev limiter worked to brave passengers Pommehogster and Jessica are ready for round II for those folk on the 11th factory tour who fancy popping over to see us.
We can have a few bacon sarnies, mugs of coffee and some exotica upgrade parts to meet and great around, those interested please pop names down on list so we can gauge if its a simple drop in of a few, or something that needs to be a more organised affair for a bigger crowd.
