The non-black-non-grey-non-silver thread

Best thread ever. Really good source to see a huge variety of Astons in their glory. My Virage is in Winchester blue. I think it suits the car. Virages can look a bit slabby in darker colours imo. Incidentally it's for sale on Pistonheads. I shall be getting a DB9 volante but torn between black or a metallic light blue or toro red preferably with a truffle interior. So if you have one you're selling contact me.

Lovely car, shame about the awful chavvy numberplate.
While I may agree with your sentiment you could have been be a tad more diplomatic with your remark, we are Aston Martin chaps after all. Something like 'Looks very sophisticated in that colour, not sure the number plate complements it?' would have done the trick. Thank you to the two gents for giving our friend George a spanking but I am big enough and old enough to take it.
I regard personal plates as a bit of fun obviously George does not.
I am new to Pistonheads Aston forum but am willing to join in with any other childish banter that comes my way.

Fair enough, going to get personal.
TBH I don't think he did get personal until you did - you told him his plate was chavvy, he didn't want your opinion. Seems fair enough Have only ever seen Winchester blue on an American DB9, the owner posts on here. It's a stunning colour I think and a brave choice.
Virage for me would always be the usual dark green, seems to enhance the sheer size and brutality of the thing. How does it drive? Always been tempted at the money they are, just not sure if I'd drive it over my DB9 though...

Hi George, F#ck you too.regards, Steve
Don't let George wind you up Steve - believe it or not he really is this tactless with everyone! Bless him.
Feel free to offer him relationship advice as I suspect he is similarly subtle in that field too

A few years ago I had a DB6(not on a personal plate George) and sold it when the kids came along, then drove some boring but sensible 'family' cars.
Then 3 years ago I saw the Virage advertised and thought so much motor for the money.I have enjoyed driving it,definitely a cruiser than a sports car as you know. I have had no problems with it.
Cannot begin to compare it to a DB9 which is so much more modern.
